Why? Ward doesn't have to be in on it. And even if he was, he can still act surprised. Not saying there was corruption.
No corruption. Just a scrappy P4P fighter displaying his skill and heart. Although I feel Kov won, the decision was not a robbery.
You basically have to try and give Ward the decision. Every single close round would need to go to Ward.
That's not how that works. If you mean by competitiveness, then OK, you at least have an argument. But no way can you attach "one sided" to either fight.
Why are GGG and Kovalev fans such pansies. Not all of them, but a most of them. Stop crying, man up, and move the **** on. It was a close fight, the home fighter got the benefit of the doubt, and proved in the rematch he was a better fighter. FFS, you guys come here to cry every day.
**** it! REPLAY TIME!!! This was a brilliant fight. Even better than the second one, at least for my tastes. And I loved em both. This content is protected Round 1 Kovalev Close first round. Kovalev with the headlocks and a heck of a jab that rocked Ward. Ward with those pesky, stabbing jabs to the body. Close but clear. Round 2 Kovalev Ward had a few moments but a pretty dominant round for Kovalev, even without the KD. And what a beautiful KD. Perfectly set up. Kovalev read Ward like a book there. Round 3 Ward Round 4 Ward Round 5 Kovalev Round 6 Kovalev Missed some of that round due to some technical issues, but a pretty clear round for Kovalev imo. Round 7 Ward Round 8 Ward Round 9 Ward Round 10 Kovalev Round 11 Ward Round 12 Ward 114-113 Ward. Some of those rounds were really close, so I would probably score it a bit differently the next time I watch it. I can easily see how some had it 7-5 Kovalev. But in my eyes it wasn't a robbery. Wards jab to the head and especially to the body were his keys to victory. And those bodyshots on the inside were vicious.
Tell us again about Canelo "manning up" to face Sergey Derevyanchenko where GGG "ducked" him? That never gets old
Pure and straight robbery of the Champion. It was disgraceful. This was not a hard fight to score and it was not so close as people are trying to make. This was clear Kovalev win and a clear robbery.
The biggest problem is that the judges had to give Ward the 10th to get the W, and that's not a round he won. It was a great, close fight, but that absolutely reeked of them doing math to make sure the right guy got the rounds he needed to edge it.
Kovalev Ward was a lot more competitive than PAC Marquez3. Marquez kicked pacs ass in that fight. Disgusting robbery that. I’m glad Marquez gave up on getting a fair shake against PAC and just knocked his ass out in the fourth fight
