At feather weight Salvador Sanchez would have KO'd Pacquiao after he gave him a 12 round boxing lesson and then put the hurt on him. Sanchez would KO him in round 13-15, when Pacquiao could not survive the championship rounds from back when men fought 15 rounds for the title.
How about superman Manny fights Tommy Hearns at welter, or Benitez. Hearn would knock him dead, and Pacquiao would get a boxing lesson from Benitez. He would never touch him.
Of course Hearns could outbrawl Pacquiao. He's 6'1" with almost 80 inch reach. Nobody Lightweight and smaller can outbrawl Pacquiao. Guys like Sanchez and Morales could maybe outbox him on a good night. But they are not going to go mano a mano and brawl and beat Pac.
Uh, I watched Eric Morales pin Manny against the ropes and rake him over the coals. Duran is much, much greater than Manny.
He boxed and moved from rounds 2-11. You must have saw a completely different fight. In the first and last rounds, he brawled and was rocked and stunned very hard.
Duran, had the Chin, awesome defensive fighter, smart, with power, and confident as anyone, down goes Pacman!
These kinds of determinations are not valid. I have done it. Someone might say Minchillo went 12 rounds with Hearns at 154 than Duran can, and we saw what happened. Styles make fights, and Manny had quick hands and quickness could be a weakness to Duran. But Manny likes to get in scraps and that is what could hurt him against Duran.
The topic of Duran always gets me in arguments. But what great fighters did Duran knockout? He beat one legit great whom he went 15 rounds with.
