I dont buy the narrative that DC is washed up, he looked about as good as he ever had been in there. The way Miocic immedately changed tactics in the 4th and the weight loss suggests that the plan was always to get Cormier in deep waters.

Stfu about Cormier being washed up

He looked as good as ever

And he was whooping Miocic up and down the the ring, lucky miocic stayed standing out of pure will power

How did Cormier lose? He got complacent with himself by the 3rd and 4th round... became one dimensional as a result and kept his guard down

I was parroting what his trainer was about to say after the second round “can you keep your damn hands up please?”

I dont care how invincible you think you are or if the punches aren’t phasing you... always keep your hands up especially at HW

Very poor attitude by cormier on that part, and thus Miocic down on the cards had to think himself out of the situation with a beautiful tactic change, while Cormier was brawling Stipe stepped up a gear and went to the body to force Cormier to drop his hands in order for him to go ham on cormiers face.

Cormier was beyond pissed off with the loss, and he easily could have won, but I didnt expect a world class athlete like him to show up so amateur in this fight. This lesson never gets learned... dont get greedy dont get complacent, dont drop your guard

Yeah if anything he beat a better DC. a more lean and better prepared version. There's no way DC from the first fight would have lasted as long as he did last night - too heavy. The plan was to obviously to take Cormier to deep waters and drown him(I predicted 3-4th Rd ko) and the body shots were a terrific adjustment. Stipe proved that he's the better man of the two h2h. There's zero doubt about it.

Miocic has shown in many fights the ability to go through the gears and adjust if necessary. That's what part of makes him so great. As far as DC goes.. Let's not forget that Gustafsson almost had him out around the 3rd-4th round as well but failed to capitalize, Jones stopped him in the 3rd. DC starts to fade around then if there's been a high pace.

Putting his track record down wasn't the point. Just showing that against top talent the 3rd-4th round is a period where he tends to have problems.

How is there zero doubt Stipe is better? He was getting whooped from pillar to post... did you see his face?

He said first time was lucky by cormier and yet Cormier came out and tagged him the same way in every round. Stipe did well to adjust, cormier did not adjust but still did well to negate any 7 inch reach advantage for

More hyperbole lol. It was 2-1 going into the championship rounds. That's hardly an ass whooping.

Tagged him the "same way" yet couldn't find the KO - that's because it came from the blind side after repeated eye pokes.

Whether that's true or not is irrelevant. Against elite opposition those rounds are major trouble for him. That's the point.

He put it an eye poke dont know if accident or deliberate however the referee aint blind he has cautioned plenty in the past as Herb Dean is not a novice

And the boxing analysts that have been there since 1996 had cormier dominating so ill take their opinion over an agenda driven fury fan

Nonsense, if Usyk had taken up MMA he had been invincible, as would Golovkin, they would be better than Cormier who never won a gold medal in the olympics, and who is probably on steroids to drop weight and gain weight so easily. You always make excuses for your guy no matter what, yet you never learn, such a shame. Miocic is a fireman, and he just beat an Olympic caliber athlete, let that sink in buddy. All your buddies are on roids, and quite frankly so are you, you need it to keep the estrogen from turning you in to a filthy fruit.

Cormier won the first fight due to eye pokes, everyone saw that, 98 percent of comments say they saw it. Jon Jones even called Miocic, the fireman, that he is the greatest UFC heavy of all time. You keep on taking L’s son, find another sport to watch.

    hahahahahahahahahaha

    Man you are hilarious

Why are you bringing up boxers stick to the fight in question and stick to MMA... I didnt take any L what L did I take??? cormier was
Clearly winning ad HeRB DEAN IS NOT A NOVICE if he saw
Foul play he would have cautioned Cormier so pipe down likkle man clearly I been watching UfC before you were born.

Cormier is accomplished so he took how many losses and now you are putting him down?!! He was on the way to winning again and the ufc commentators and analysts said the first one was no fluke and Cormier is mauling Stipe again. I trust them more than you, stick to boxing bro I am a multitasker

Cormier lost to the better man. Stop making excuses that he only lost cause he got complacent.

Cormier tried everything he could and Miocic was still in front of him. He didn't know what else he could do. After blowing his load the first few rnds he was dead man walking.

If Cormier got caught with a random shot that came out of nowhere I could buy the complacency thing. But he had a good thirty to forty seconds to adjust to Miocic's bodyshots in the fourth. He couldn't and got destroyed. That's not a complacency thing. It's an inability to adjust thing.
