This is actually a dangerous fight for Lomachenko. Of course, Lomachenko would be favored to win, but I wouldn't be shocked if Broner KO'd him. People don't realize how hard Broner actually hits. And his shots come in fast. He badly hurt Maidana in the 12th round and made him do a dance and go on the retreat. Maidana has fought Josesito, Ortiz, Soto-Karass, and Alexander and has said that Broner hit the hardest. He dropped Shawn Porter, who is a thick and stocky full-fledged welterweight. Has Porter ever tasted the canvas? He also hurt Mikey to the body late. Broner has stamina and clearly carries serious pop late into a fight. And of course, we know that Broner is durable as hell, so Lomachenko isn't stopping him. Broner, I believe, will let his hands go because Lomachenko wouldn't have the thudding power to keep him gun shy and he will be 155-160 on the night. Lomachenko by decision. If Broner opens up, he has a chance to hurt Lomachenko and possibly finish him. Good money fight for Lomachenko and he would be sharing a common opponent with Pac.
A waste of time fight. Loma takes every round as long as it lasts. Maybe 5 or 6 rounds. Loma - Mickey at 140 would be much more interesting.
Broner doesn't throw nearly enough punches to keep Loma from doing what he does best, that is, throw while moving, sliding and turning. Broner will look like a big, burly bear swiping at those pack of hound dogs nipping at his ass. Broner is past it! He had his moment and fell short......several times. AB looks great against C & B- level opposition but, once he steps up to a solid B level opponent or higher, he gets whooped. Loma makes A level fighters jealous, nuff said!
Lomachenko doesn't have the power to deter Broner from throwing, in my opinion. I think Broner will actually let his hands go.
He's not stopping Broner. You do realize Broner is close to 160 on fight night, right? And he's got an iron jaw.
His jaw will have little to do with matters. Broner can't keep up with Loma. Death by a thousand humiliating cuts, so to speak. Broner gets outworked, humiliated, made to look foolish and probably quits. He could also get stopped with a good body shot. Prime Broner v early Loma would have been interesting, with Loma being the slight favourite at 135. The current version of these fighters is a one-sided beatdown. No problem !
Broner likes to throw when he is in the right position. Basically, when his opponent is in front of him. Loma won't be there for him to get set. He will have a very low punch output against Loma. Broner looks great when he is allowed to lead and dictate the action. He has looked terrible against guys that don't cooperate. Madiana was the first to show the world how limited AB is against guys that lead.
I believe Broner will sell out and let his hands go against Lomachenko. Again, no thudding power coming back at him.
It's possible, but it hasn't been in his history. He is too economical with his punches. Always has been and the smart money is on him continuing to be.
If Broner decided to actually fight, it is definitely a dangerous fight for Lomachenko. But 99% chance Broner just shows up in the ring like he did against Pac, to last the distance.
