Frank has had many ups and many downs in boxing/business over about 35 years in the sport.

I’m not here to call him the second coming of Christ- Frank is/was a cunning, battle hardened, furious and often ruthless individual, who has had to fight and clew his way into the business to break up the old cartel (who treated fighters like slaves and whom Bazza Hearn was in bed with at the time) and to stay afloat at times when his TV deals have gone/ big ticket fighters like Naz and Hatton have left etc.

People need to understand that when Barry Hearn ran out on boxing and the sport was under serious pressure from the Government etc it was Frank who basicallly single handidly kept the big promotions going, often making humongous loses along the way.

We know a few boxers have been paid late, at times in the distant past (mainly around the BN days when he was battling to stay afloat on a dingy when he left the Sky ship) and most I know for a fact, we’re ok with it as he generally paid more and would push the boat out, to give them opportunities unlike the Hearn’s when they re-appeared back on Sky and we’re business first.

This is mainly why I am admittedly sympathetic towards Warren.

    All promoter's are arseholes
If Hearn ever faces hard times the payments might slow down, who knows
Franks a ***** but did what he had to to keep going
Not the right thing i must add

If Hearn ever faces adversity like Frank has i think he would just move on rather than tough it out

    Crazy.

If he couldn’t pay fighters then he shouldn’t be putting them in fights.

Blame Barry Hearn all you like,he hasn’t got a responsibility to keep boxing in Britain alive. He had a responsibility to his fighters.

You would feel differently if you had been ripped off or left in the dark by Frank. He is still doing it now.Signs fighters and leaves them sitting there in no man’s land,no fights and no prospect of moving.

You are not sympathetic to him.You are making excuses,so when you say ‘he has had to claw his way up’ that is jargon for ripping people off.

And it wasn’t just with BN,sports network have plenty of history check the court hearings.Or listen to the fighters he brought over in the 80’s and didn’t pay or what about bringing in new contracts to fighters whilst they are gloved up ready to fight.

And don’t deny any of it because it’s all true.

Were going around in circles now mate - I’ve said my piece.

I don’t know which fighters you are referring to who are supposedly being ripped off and left on the shelf, but I can guarantee there are probably just as many under Matchroom who probably feel the same. Off the top of my head Issac Chamberlain and Hosea Burton (who to be fair seems to be all talk) have recently complained about not getting
    Fights and have left Eddie.

Crazy how much Eddie Hearn gets called a scumbag when warren has been operating like this all his promoting career and doing fighters over, says a lot.

Hearn and warren are both hypocrites, ruthless, morally ambiguous characters, what big time promoters aren't? We all know this ffs! I don't mind either of them really tbh they both have their good and bad traits and are good at what they do.we all probably prefer one over the other(Hearn) for me but I hold them both to the same standards.

Blaming bad performances on contracts? Blaming 16 week benders on bad contracts? Seems like he just had a drink problem.

He didn't blame his bad performances or benders on his contract.

He did say when you are getting paid peanuts or not getting paid it affects your motivation. If I hadn't been paid for my last 3 months at work, my motivation would be low and I would probably be a bit disillusioned for the next 3 months.

How was he turning up in a Porsche and wearing a 15 grand watch if he was getting peanuts?

Driving a porsche and wearing a 15 grand watch doesn't mean you have money. If I sold 22,000 tickets at Upton Park I would want to be wearing a 15 bag watch as well.

He was talking about the early fights in his career when he was saying he wasn't getting paid much.

In other words, he was on a standard contract for a young fighter coming through, but he thought he should be on mega bucks from the start.

Mitchell good fighter, top bloke in person, absolute proper lad though drinks, drugs, bit of a boy

A shame it never worked out for him, as having so much talent in boxing he really could've flipped his life upside down ie be living a penthouse flat in Kensington right now or big house in Surrey

He always came across as the type who could have everything and somehow it would go wrong and end up back at square one
