Brook would have won but once the 2nd eye went dropped round after round understandably
For me Spence looked lost at times up until that point

But injury or not it was a legit win for Spence and signaled pretty much the end for one of the brightest talents from our shores in years

    Wasted

You pick him over bud? I'd put money on bud to beat spence if the odds were good.

Would have favoured Brook. He had the better of Spence in that fight until his eye went.

Think Brook is hugely underrated by British fans because of what happened after he beat Porter. I would put him down as technically one of our best in the last 10/15 years.

If he'd been managed better(stepped up quicker) it could've made him become one of our modern greats.the first meaningful fight that I remember of his was Carson Jones 8 years after turning pro and we know what happened there.

Yeah Brook could of been our greatest ever Welter. Very good boxer and a monster at the weight.

Putting in Brook with GGG was one of the most irresponsible things i've seen in boxing (and there's some fierce competition there). GGG a very hard puncher with a steel chin was only ever going to cause Brook serious damage which he did both physically and mentally.

Pre-GGG Brook v Spence is 50 50 for me. Both well matched. Slight advantage to Kell in front of home crowd.

Putting on slabs of muscle to get to 160 then immediately cutting it was as detrimental to Brook as the eye injury. A Spence fight at 154 would have been more interesting, but Brook was essentially done after Triple Gee. He had a few fights left at 147 after Porter and wasted them ... then straight into the GGG career-suicide.

Should never have went straight back to 147 after fighting 160

Good thread and a very interesting point the Kell brook before golovkin imo was the best at 147 he beat porter albeit in a scrappy fight but won clearly showing the perfect way to fight a brawler, nobody had done to porter since then what brook did, the Spence fight brook was winning quite comfortably up until the 7th round where the weight loss he had to make back down from 154 proved to much. I think if he would have ruled the division had he not fought golovkin who was a beast at the time . He didn't fare as badly as I thought he would versus GGG an even backed him up a few times but it was a career ending match up from hearn where money was the only reason it took place. Brook was never the same after that fight it was quite obvious . The Spence of today is better than the best version of brook but at the time a pre GGG brook would have beaten spence

Spence either way. I don't get people saying if Brook didn't get the eye injury he would've won. Brook would've won if Spence had his hands tied behind his back also... silly logic

I think Crawford is too small.
