Kovalev's Russian mob Tues are probably planting drugs in the bags lol... Yarde has zero protection in Russia, gotta give this man respect. Yarde is not going to receive a warm welcoming in ice cold Russia

Sneaky Russians playing the old lost bag trick. Give them an inch and they'll take a Yarde....

Overrated like no other. To fabricate a boxer like yarde costs a freaking lot of money. I dont understad why they throw him to kovalev, why they throw all that money to the toilette.

    Let the games begin.

Lost bags are the least of his problems. He is in bandit country now, rules are laws are now gone.

Anyway, Tunde is the biggest problem Yarde has, I can't wait for Tunde to explain "System 9" failure after the fight.

I think they would rather lose in a world title fight to a foreign fighter than a British title fight against a domestic rival.

They'll just spin it, if Yarde puts in a decent effort they can spin it as "it came a little too soon, we took the gamble, nobody can now question Yardes bottle, he'll come again"

and then give Yarde another two years of fighting bang average fighters "rebuilding" and it will be batted away when people say he isn't fighting anybody, we will get "he fought Kovalev".

It's either this or Buatsi smashing him to pieces and his reputation, profile and maybe career slowly fading away.

Totally agree, been done the long way over time and he really hasn't been stepped up yet so it does seem odd to me.(unless he's really that good?)

LOL, is this what they said on CNN?

Usyk went and fought in Moscow last year against Gassiev, and nothing ever happened to him when Russia and Ukraine are not having their best relations in the last couple of years

please keep politics and your anti-Russian propaganda away from sport and boxing.

Is it just the 2 of them? They’ve got literally nothing against these Russians.

Fair play to Yarde I’ve gotta say, he’s always talking about lions and he’s well and truly in the Lion’s den now.

Yep calculated risk. Kovalev is older.and they're hoping that he's either completely fallen off and/or Yarde gets lucky. If he loses they can just spin it like you said and go back to fighting no hopers before attempting to cash him out again down the line.

Where's Saunders with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle reference when you need him? Yarde's head is shockingly minuscule. Hell, Kovalev might have a hard time landing on it its so small.

I will accept I didn't explain myself clearly with those comments.

I can assure you I'm not anti Russian, I don't watch CNN or subscribe to CNN's thinking and I will go in "The Lounge" and spout my nonsense about Politics if I feel like it.

Also maybe it's my London way/style of talking, I describe certain parts of London "Bandit Country", basically rough areas or areas where bad things can happen.

As for laws and rules, I point to steroid use in Russian, other things also, for example I do not believe the police are going to rush out if a group of people are making noise inside or outside Yardes hotel, set off fire alarms and any other tricks they might pull against Yarde.. you know what I mean.

They are not going to help a fighter from England against their man, I believe they will turn a blind eye to the odd disturbance.

So, in conclusion, I didn't explain myself very clearly and I apologise, I still meant what I said but it wasn't anti Russian or anything of the sort.
