Golovkin, the champ, outlanded Canelo 218 to 169 in the first fight. How anyone would find a draw out of that is clearly biased. Even in the second fight Canelo was outlanded 234 to 202. Said many times but it is obvious to any unbiased observer Canelo lost both fights and was gifted a draw and a decision.

He threw 700 punches to land 218. I repeat , 700 to land 218. Canelo made him miss 500 times. That sort of defense and ring generalship captures the eye of the judges.
Combine Canelo shutting down GGGs offence with him landing the more power punches and you can see why it was such a close fight.
I had Mayweather Miadana 1 a draw. Why? Becaue Maidana outlanded Floyd on power punches. Floyd like GGG landed more total punches , but a total punch count can be a feint or a range finding jab. Clean effective punches are counted as power punches.

Most people think hitting a guy is the only criteria involved in scoring a fight. No GGG fan has or will ever give credit to Canelo for making their guy swat at thin air and reducing him to a head hunting jabber.

If punches landed was the only or even the main factor in scoring a boxing match then there would be zero point in having judges. The fighters would simply fight and at the end of the fight tally the punches and award the win to the guy who landed more.

    But that's not boxing.

Ignore the number thrown CANELO WAS OUTLANDED BY THE CURRENT CHAMP 238 TO 169. If you don't understand that you don't understand boxing. And besides, Canelo was as equally inefficient with his punches landed. He landed 33% to GGG's 31%.

Good fight and one Derevchenko can win, if he doesn't try to turn this into a fire fight. I think Derevchenko is the better skilled fighter of the two, and has to rely on lateral movement and quick combinations to beat GGG.. if he decides plan B, GGG will eventually break him down and get the stoppage.

    Wobbled? Lol

It must be sad being a GGG stand when you're reduced to false narratives.

Can win? Certainly but I'll bet GGG goes in the favorite. Maybe not a big favorite but definitely the favorite. And I see GGG stopping Dere.

I will just say DC cuz his name is so god dam annoying to spell out. These Euro fighters need to get American name cuz it’s gonna be tough to be a household name with wack ass names like derechenkoyubo.

DC is tailor made for Golovkin btw

Oh, that guy he was supposedly scared to fight and ducked to fight the guy his fans was pimping as the genuine lineal Champ he had to fight and would be his only good opponent until Canelo also beat Danny Jacobs so...

So a fight is judged by overall punches lander(counted by the notoriously inaccurate compubox), or by a round by round basis?
30 punches is nothing. It's only takes a few rounds in which one boxer lands more.
And punch stats don't show effective aggression, ring generalship, defense or clean and effective punches landed.

Golovkin being a champ has nothing to do with the scoring. He doesn't get a handicap because he holds a title or more.
