Michael Conlan states 90% of elite boxers are on illegal PEDs

As per the Tris Dixon podcast.

Thoughts?

Given the number of failed tests in recent years who can disagree.

Is banning for life an option when boxers can make mistakes or trust people who let them down?

Is a free for all an option, given the potential life threatening injuries from
Boxing?

Do we already have a free for all, given the inadequacy of current testing and the corruption in the sport?

 

I dislike Conlan more & more. Needs a proper teeth cleaning. I want Shakur to ice this punk, it will happen & be hilarious. Conlan is right here but these statements are suspect. He has no power but now he's punching? Like dude when you start pointing fingers there's three pointing back at u

 

He isn’t too many fights away from a big step up either. So if he is punching feather pillows then he will be found out at elite level.

 

I believe it's more like 50 to 70% of the elite ones, and maybe around half of the world level ones.

Then there's different degrees of ped use. Not all are Big Doper Miller types

 

Cant stand Conlan for many reasons but I cannot argue with him here

 

100 percent agree.
Most athletes in sport today are on PEDS. Even the one's who shame the one's who take them.

 

Some of those compounds are like taking green tea extract pills. And then there is **** that makes super soldiers.
And not every PED is banned because of it's effects on performance. Masking PED use has a lot to do with why some drugs are banned.

 

I think what we should take from this is that Conlan himself is cheating.

We've had so many people say that others are cheating and something needs to be done, only for the person who said it to be caught cheating later down the line.

 

Exactly, it’s usually the ones who shout about it too. From their perspective, if they’re taking it then everyone else is taking it thus justifying them taking it.

Miller, Whyte, Saunders, floyd - all shout about it then get busted.

 

I think spending time reading this forum and watching boxers get busted has changed my opinion to an extent,but still don't fully agree that nearly everyone is on something

 

Short Ester test, hgh, and EPO microdoses is the trifecta and very difficult to detect without frequent 24/7 testing. Only fools aren't using.

 

When did he start punching all of a sudden ? Conlan top professional, unlike all the cheating UK Heavyweights

 

Hes correct about PED use being so common. 90% I wouldn't think so. But id imagine it would be over 50%. Id say 90% of Heavyweights though would be more in line

 

I assume he’s not including himself in the 90%.

 

I think he might, only he definitely can't be counted under the elite though.
