Hearns would beat Griffith because he kept punching from too far out v Monzon which would cost him v Hearns, I simply feel Hearns was better than Whitaker and fought better opposition although at times it would be cagey like Heans v Benitez, Hearns and McCallum looked pretty even in a sparring match, close fight one way or the other, Norris never showed the ability to beat a fighter with Tommy`s reach Blocker was nowhere near Tommy`s level, Mugabi wasn`t in Tommy`s class, he`d box his ears off, Canelo is the best of the bunch but at 154 he was a little green which could cost him, however his ability to ride shots would really help him to deal with Tommy`s power, 50-50 in my humble opinion.

Charley Burley imo would be jabbed silly whilst being forced on the defensive. Tommy's angular footwork would keep Burley on the ropes and Tommy could set up his 1-2. I don't know if Burley could take it but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He could also KO Tommy with a perfect counter but I don't think that's as likely as Tommy winning

I got Tommy KOing Griffith. A toughman like Emile would get lead onto shots imo. Being lead onto Tommy Hearns shots is not a good plan at WW.

Pernell being a southpaw he'd be very easy to catch with a right hand as good as Tommy's. His jab would be negated by Tommy's own and his size. I think he'd be caught cold eventually and took out.

McCallum is a scare, Canelo would keep it competitive but ultimately lose a decision. Mugabi has a puncher's chance.

He beats them all IMO, with the most trouble coming from McCallum, Burley and Griffith.

I'd say he beats em all but that's the thing with Tommy , with that Chin he could be caught out . The Beast is dangerous , Could be a Barkley type shock ko .
The one that I see most chance of beating him is McCallum . Mike s got a great Chin , confident and he had a solid punching power . Maybe Hearns ends up out boxing him , getting a 9 - 6 type score card ..or perhaps Mike bring s out the killer punch he nailed Curry with !

Curry was easier to hit in his bout v Mike than Hearns was v Benitez, I feel McCallum v Hearns would be a cagey chess match, Tommy boxed a lot better at 154 than he did in his bout at 160 v Barkley.

True he might have boxed better at the lower weight but McCallum could still wack , though I don't class him as a Destroyer type , but still , he s a dangerous guy to Fight .

Hearns vs Burley is a strange one. It could turn into Hearns jabbing Burley from the outside and keeping him honest with his own power. My only issue is Burley was a very good out boxer, jabber, and feinter, and in his career he showed that he could deal with size and power abnormal to his weight.

A big decider in this could be power, Hearns was a freak puncher but Burleys chin was no joke, never stopped in his career, got dropped by Marshall twice and finished the fight and on film we have him fighting a huge 175 puncher. Its a pretty hard fight to call but it could come down to some type of Hearns Leonard I situation even, with Burley rallying later, he was a go home puncher too so there is always that chance.

I see a pretty even fight though.

Never thought about Hearns vs Norris. Might be a record number of knockdowns in this fight with their chins!

Pernell was very hard to hit, but he’s up against someone who can match his speed. Hearns also has an overwhelming advantage in reach and power.

I don’t see Pernell lasting the entire fight as Benitez did because he’s much smaller, and won’t be able to take Tommy’s bombs. He can avoid them for a while but he’ll get caught eventually.

Norris was knocked down by weaker punchers than Ray Leonard and Hearns was only fully knocked out by middleweights, plus Hagler and Barkley had longer reaches than any fighters than Brown.
