-How about the fact that he had a razor thin close fight with Jacobs and that Jacobs just beat Derevyanchenko a few months ago?

-Its a very ballsy move by Canelo to fight Kovalev, it trumps anyone else at MW.

-We all know Rocky Fielding was gimme fight. Canelo usually fights twice a year, in May and Sept. that was just a test the waters fight ONLY three months after beating Golovkin.

-GGG is a top fighter at MW, and after the SD fight I wouldn't mind seeing Canelo and GGG fight again, but I was rather annoyed with GGG with how he refused Saunders, Charlo, Jacobs rematch, and Derevyanchenko.

-I really hope they ALL make good fights, the only two who seem to want to take challenges are Canelo and Jacobs, while GGG has always been forced to take the challenges with the exception of Canelo who gave him his biggest payday 10 fold.

How about that? I don't want to see him against someone he's already beaten and ranked above. That's a step back for him, he should be chasing those ranked above him e.g. Canelo.

It is still not the best fight at LHW to be made, if he wants to fight the best there he should go for the winner of Gvodyk and Beterbiev. But yes its better than any fight at MW. Not as good as Callum Smith at SMW though.

Yes a bit like most fighters have gimme fights, doesn't mean I have to like it.

He should refuse all of those if it means the Canelo fight gets made. As it was it didn't and SD looked like a duck. We now know that isn't the case as the fight has been made. It seems the whole division ducked Saunders to me.

Well Golovkin has a superior resume to Jacobs and is scheduled to face the best victory on Jacobs ledger. He was also scheduled to face the first man to knock Jacobs out but he withdrew with back injury.

At the end of the day my initial point remains. I'd have rather seen GGG vs Canelo than GGG vs SD. Everything else is irrelevant in the conversation.

I think true boxing fans like competent and honest scoring. They like clean test results and uncontroversial hand wraps. They like respecting weight categories and not having rehydration clauses. And yes, they do want to see fighters earn their shot at the top guys. They don't want to see guys like Rocky Fielding get a shot ahead of more challenging opponents.

You're an avid GGG fan right? You do realize GGG has also had catch weight fights, participated in fights with rehydration clauses, requested catch weights for title fights, has avoided fighters because it was "smart business", has fought a welter weight and a few JrMWs all at 160 for championship fights.

    Sit down son.

I don't need to pretend to be a Golovkin fan to try and justify my opinions. There's a lot about Golovkin I don't like and I wouldn't consider myself a fan. I just like fights at the right weights minus clauses with clean testing and fair judging. I'm old fashioned that way.

Now if you want to provide examples of the above happening - Golovkin forcing rehydration clauses on others, fighting at a catchweight for a title fight then crack on and I'll condemn it. I've already said I didn't like some of his match ups and slated them at the time. I'm consistent in my opinions, you however a certified cinnamon sausage smoker - are not.

    You're 100 projecting.

I'm the one who is consistent. You're two faced.

When has Canelo fought for a title where he demanded a catch weight?

You are punking out early today Isal.

Quote me where I've been two faced on these boards. I'll wait.

You really have dug yourself a hole here. I look forward to watching you try to weasel out of it.

    You're two faced.

Golovkin wanted to fight SMW champion Andre Ward at 164, Ward said nope!

And you're ragging on Canelo for fighting championship fights at catchweights but where you FAIL is that Mayweather, Cotto, Khan were the fighters who demanded the catch weight, not Canelo.

Lara, and Kirkland were not title fights.

So you either don't have your facts straight, or you measure Canelo and GGG with different measuring sticks, making you two faced.

    Haha you weasel.

Show me justifying them going in for catch weights and then condemning Canelo for asking for catchweights - that's what you need here to call me two faced.

You won't be able to find me ever defending a fighter for asking for catch weights because I never have.

You're either mistaken or do not know what two faced means.

Of course when GGG agreed to the full 168 limit, Ward said nope again ...

Damn bro, you're a compulsive liar aren't you.

    In 2015 Ward's team sent Golovkin a contract for a fight in 2016 at 168 for 50/50.

    Golovkin and his team refused.

So... Canelo won only 1 round?
How about we stop with the punch stat nonsense? It's not how you score a fight.

Its very annoying having a debate with people who don't know what the scoring rules are.

This @JacK Rauber guy is a super die hard Golovkin fan who claims GGG is already an ATG, so good luck trying to reason with him.

Damn, bro, you're pretty dim, aren't you?

"Andre Ward (31-0, 15 KOs) has ruled out entirely him moving back down to 168 to fight unbeaten Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs) after he moves up to super middleweight."

    I gave Canelo 4 rounds.
