Very, very close fight. The way people talk about fitz now is embarrassing.

 

Not quite embarrassing but he’s being hyped up way too much. It was a close fight and without Fowler losing concentration in that last round (or was it the penultimate one) then Fitz would be a forgotten man.

 

Last round it was. Fowler hurt fitz badly in the penultimate one iirc.


Wouldn't surprise me at all if Fowler won the rematch on points behind his jab. The way people are talking like Fowler has no chance whilst just assuming fitz will improve ten fold is embarrassing imo, from lads who are supposed to know the game well.

It's an evenly matched fight lads, they can beat each other on any given night.

 

I think Fitz is pretty talented, and if he applied himself could have a good career. It's definitely true that Fowler has lots of people who really want him to lose (myself included) which magnified that loss tenfold. There's something about Fowler that rubs people up the wrong way and he's become pretty unpopular.

Had one night out there in 2009 for a Stag Do, 1215pm - 6am when we (the last 2 standing) rolled in at Jesmond. My liver died. Fantastic night out.

 

Looks like my mate and I are going to this, hopefully I'll pick up 2 tickets this weekend off Fitz.
