Don't believe it. That would just be ridiculously stupid and everyone with even a little knowledge about the sport understands that. Sparring makes everyone better and sparring with an opponent that brings something new or different helps you prepare for that in your next fight. Guys that don't spar regularly can fall for simple tricks and often don't know what to do how to overcome some physical attributes.
The 18-0 KO artist, said: “I sometimes look on YouTube and see people label videos ‘Anthony Yarde sparring his trainer Ade’ but that is not sparring, that’s just practice. “We practice getting attacked, countering and attacking your opponent back, in intelligent ways. “Everyone has their own methods, when Muhammad Ali was coming through I am sure people said he leaned back too far, had his chin too high and dropped his hands too low. “I am not comparing myself Ali, just showing that people have different methods that work for them.” Peckham coach Ajayi snapped back at a Russian journalist who asked for the specific sparring partners Yarde had used, saying: “I know why you asked that question. “But I am his best sparring partner because I believe, like in the old Kung Fu movies, that the teacher is the trainer of the student.”
Sparring or no sparring Krusher has too much know-how for Yarde. He will draw him forward and spear him down the middle from range. It should be a good fight with Yarde using speed and power to have spots of success. Looking forward to this, comes on nice and early too
This content is protected A couple guys from the Mayweather gym back Yarde against Kovalev on the basis of seeing him beat up some in house fighters in sparring. I read somewhere he worked Tabiti.
To me all he's saying is that he cut down an sparing a lot for this fight. Most fighters do that to keep the body fresh. He spars and I believe that he's sparred for this fight. Never believe a fighter on what he says before a fight.
Must spar. Must spar. Must spar. Oh...sorry...that was always on my mind when I got up in the mornings...long ago. Held me in good stead. He must be bull shitting...
I read it in the sun newspaper today and they quoted his trainer saying he believed in old kung fu movies where the trainer is themaster that teaches the student, whatever that means, he sounds iffy as hell to me.
AJ should have been practising getting his head off the line after punching during light sparring, that`s what sparring is for practise makes perfect, he also should have sparred with a 6'2 fighter he uses a high guard, Yarde should be sparring with a 6 footer who pumps a jab constantly.
Well he better be prepared for some brutal ass whoopings then. I see Kovalev hurting and exposing him badly. He dont believe in sparring lol
Tunede seems like one of those trainers who wants to be just as famous as his fighter. He might as well walk around with an "attention seeker seeking attention" sign strapped round his neck. Sometimes I think Tunde's a manipulative sociopath, then he goes ahead and says something that makes me think he's nuttier than squirrel ****.
Him and Tunde talking utter shite , there’s a prediction video on YouTube with Jeff Mayweather one of the young pros predicts Yarde will win “ after seeing him beat up a few of the regulars in sparring at the Mayweather gym “
