A fighter arguably* has the most consecutive defences of his belt in division history.

It's a fair bet that he's an ATG.

*hinging on whether Hopkins' NC is a successful defence or not

What an idiotic post, and what a worse article. LOL That article is hilarious actually. Its full of bias and even calls Golovkin a small MW, LMAO! Who the f*** is this Dan Ambrose guy who wrote this terrible article?

Here is the FACTS: In 2015 Andre Ward sent Golovkin a contract for a fight at 168 with a 50/50 split. A very fair deal.

Golovkin straight up rejected that offer for no reason other than he didn't want to fight Ward.

Like Ward said in that article, GGG had his opportunity, once you move up its not smart to move back down, true boxing fans know this. Many examples, like DLH, RJJ, Morales...

I'm really starting to question your boxing knowledge. I know you're a fan boy, but you're also showing you either don't pay attention to boxing closely, or you just dksab.

And then you're a two faced hypocrite. You shitted on Canelo for calling GGG to a catchweight fight at 155 and praised GGG for refusing to concede to a catchweight, and then you're shitting on Ward for doing what GGG by refusing to move down in weight?

You're quickly becoming a garbage poster who is inconsistent, uses double standards, and fabricates things.

If GGG has the most defense in MW history, then Canelo is a three division champion. Its that simple. If you're going to claim GGG tied or beat Hopkins' record but refuse to acknowledge Canelo as a three division champ, 154, 160, 168, then you're yet again, exposing your double standards.

refer to my previous post. Post #257.

OMG iSalty is losing his cool and throwing his baby rattle out of his cot

“I’m not going to 68, that’s out,” said Ward

    :crybaby2::crybaby2::crybaby2:

    Stay salty kid.

Ward was the guy who wanted the fight at 168 in the first place. He fought his entire career at 168. When he got what he wanted ... he didn't want it, after all. Canelo uses weight to kill people so that they're ineffective in the ring. Simple as that. Golovkin never asked to fight him at 155 and then refused it once CLENelo offered the fight ;)

Dude, you ARE and always have been a garbage poster. Let's hear about Canelo manning up to fight SD again?

PS - is Dildo holding your hand making you brave? :eaea:

I argue my points with facts, and common sense, you fabricate and twist things.

Perfect example is this post. You said Ward didn't want to ever fight Golovkin and your proof is that he said he would not move down a weight division to fight him.

YET, you fail to mention that in 2015 Ward's camp sent a contract to Golovkin for a fight at 168 in 2016, when GGG rejected the contract Ward moved up. Now you want to s*** on Ward for not moving back down to 168 after he's been fighting at 175? WTF? You're a joke. You need to take GGGs nutz out of your mouth so you can get some oxygen to your brain.

A year or two after Ward made his initial offer?
After Ward had moved up in weight?

The GGG marks are a strange lot. They turn every thread into a repetitive fanboy chant just like those folks with the shaved heads and robes I used to see when I got off the airplane in Los Angeles.

    Stay salty toddler.

Heyyyy! Talking about fabricating and twisting things, why don't you quote me saying this? ;) Have at it.

Ward refused the fight at 168? No, I did actually mention that.

"At our meeting with HBO they asked us whether we are ready to box. You know our answers -

You said something about your shoulder or promoter - I'm not interested in the reason, I only heard your "no." But you remember that HBO said then that they would need a long time to build-up the fight. Then what the **** are you talking about excuses?"" -GGG

Your lips are so glued to Canelo's ring that it's pure Guadalajara methane that you've been huffing. No wonder you DKSAB and that your posts make so little sense :ciappa:

Loeffler said his emailed reply to Ward’s camp was that if Ward was still at 168 pounds in early 2017, Golovkin would be pleased to consider the bout at that point.

    Truth trumps all

GGG did not want to fight Ward in a legacy defining fight. He could have fought Ward, had he beat Ward (highly doubtful) he would have possibly been immortalized.

Also I notice that iSalty wasn't able to supply the quotes where I supposedly said that "You said Ward didn't want to ever fight Golovkin and your proof is that he said he would not move down a weight division to fight him."

Great job Salty. You're looking really credible about now :risas3:

If Ward was still at 168 in 2017, which he was not, that's TWO years after Ward sent him the contract which they rejected. A contract set for a fight in 2016, you know who GGG fought in 2016? Dominic Nobody Wade and Welterweight Kell Brook. You know who Ward fought? Undefeated LHW monster Sergey Kovalev.

Now ask yourself, why not fight him in 2016, after al he fought a nobody and a welterweight, why wait until 2017, which we know he would not fight him in 2017 EITHER because that is the year he fought Canelo.

If you use your brain a bit, its clear and obvious GGG did not want anything to do with Ward.

2016 was the best, the only year they could fight him, and they knew it, so they opted to fight the welterweight and Wade.

Golovkin talking about Ward after he moved up was no different to when they were calling out Froch a year after he retired. It was done purely for show as he knew the fights were impossible to make.
But Ward was always very eager to fight Golovkin so he issued this challenge -

    Golovkin never responded.

GGG is always been full of s***. Him calling out Froch after he was retired, him willing to fight JCCjr at 168 but not Ward at 168, him stating he would fight anyone between 154-168, stating the his main objective was to unify the division before anything else, and most recently saying he only wanted big fights and then fights Rolls.

    His fans eat it up.
