Gangsters, Mafia hits, what is this? This thread has turned ridiculous. Al Haymon gonna give 1930 a call? Laughable.

I wouldn't mind it at all if Ruiz and Haymon proposed that the rematch happens at MSG, just to toy with Joshua's already fractured psyche that bit more. :sisi1

Nothing Joshua can do to stop Big Andy mauling him and sparking him out in front of those 70,000 people either. :sisi1

And upon being dropped, Joshua will be allowed to take a five minute time out -- ample time for him to hold onto the ropes, have a walk around and put his mouthpiece back in -- and Terry O'connor will be installed as referee and will be allowed to help Joshua back to his corner at the end of rounds.

It'll all be there in the contracts.

It's wrong to imply Ruiz doesn't train hard and to compare him to Butterbean. However, it's equally wrong and downright foolhardy to refer to Teddy Atlas as a ''clown'' and it's something I would suggest you never make the fatal mistake of doing to him in the flesh because I can assure you that it would be something you would regret for the rest of your days, which FTR would be spent in the uncomfort of a hospital bed.

Totally agree with your clown suit comments about SAS, though.

Teddy Atlas has been acting like a clown for several years now. He been making a fool out of himself. He's been so off base and disrespectful to fighters so many times, while he portrays himself to be this bastion of boxing expertise yet he has demonstrated time and time again that he does not see things clearly, goes on tangents that have no relevance to what really goes on in the squared circle. Now don't get me wrong I have respect for his connection to the sport over a long period of time, however just because you have experience doesn't make you able to just say whatever you want and have it treated as though it's correct all the time. And what you highlighted is the problem and why this guy is tolerated, he has this personality that allows him to pretty much say anything as it relates to the sport and not get any push back.

I've had my problems with Stephen A Smith over the years, his Butterbean comments were way over the top but until these recent comments and his reaction to Ruiz's win, I would say he has been more tolerable and entertaining than Atlas. Atlas tries to act all slick like he know what he's talking about all the time, but many times he just tries to steer the conversation about a boxing match off of where it should be and where he wants it. Whereas SAS's reaction is more organic and more honest, though he does come off as an idiot at times. Yes he's more of a casual than Teddy, but Atlas is too much on the other extreme. He's too much of a so-called expert he thinks he knows it all. We need personalities more in the middle, who aren't casuals but also don't portray a sense of arrogance and entitlement when covering boxing.

I live near Juarez, 10,000 murders a year on the border over the drug trade, those Sicario movies are DisneyLand compared to the Reality!

So being a huge draw and generating a lot of money, which your opponents benefit from, plus unifying most titles and defending them for a while does not allow you to call the shots and put certain terms on your contracts like the rematch clause AJ put for Ruiz?

This fat dude is annoying. He's saying it himself, he calls the shots now (Haymon, really). Guaranteed if he gets as big as Joshua he'll be using the same tactics. Of course he'd put rematch clauses for his opponents with favorable terms for him.

Just honor the contract. You couldn't draw flies without Joshua.

You need to be asking what happened to 'Ruiz has to fight in the UK it's in the contract"?

The fact the fight is happening in a neutral venue and Eddie Helen had to provide an improved financial package all this after stating for weeks that Ruiz was obligated to fight in the UK and had already signed the contract , should tell you that ruiz and Al haymon forced his hand.

Or do you really think Helen just changed his mind off his own back?

I'm sure it does, but I don't think it has a great deal to do with Al Haymon or where the Joshua vs Ruiz Jr rematch will take place.
