There is a fine line between confidence and delusion, Yarde is obviously getting well paid for the fight but turning down $ 1 million knowing he will still be mandatory is a huge gamble to take.

Even Lewis took step aside money to allow Tyson to fight Seldon.

I hope Yarde wins but nothing he has done in the past has given me the impression he can beat Kovalev.

I favour Yarde early and Kovalev late and I would not be surprised if either one of them gets knocked out in the first round. Tomorrow night Yarde and Tunde will come away either looking like geniuses or delusional fools.

for the life of me I just can’t see Sergei blowing this fight knowing that the Alvarez fight and the biggest payday of his career is around the corner. I also read that he could’ve pulled out of this fight and taken the Alvarez fight but told their team that he felt obligated to have this fight first and didn’t want to cancel. That tells me that he’s put in the work because obviously if he had not put in the work and was in poor shape, he could’ve just bailed on the fight right off the bat and taken the money.

Everything shouts a Kovalev win....but he is defo on the slide and has been exposed ,especially with body shots...

I feel its a good fight for everyone ?

If only Yarde had fought Hosea Burton first lol

And on the other side of that coin, Yarde is....what, good at beating up super-middleweights?

My debate is do I go to the Gym and watch it on record or not go and watch live.

Agree with TDF everything says Kovalev but I am not sure.

    Genuinely a very intriguing fight

I 100 % agree all logic points to an easy Kovalev win but I remember Terry Norris being in a similar situation when he boxed Keith Mullings.

By the same token I also remember buying into the Audley Harrison hype multiple times.

Mullings had a decent career and amateur background, right? Yarde has he neither.

Mullings had also lost 4 times before the Norris fight , twice to journeyman.

I'm not saying you're wrong, like others have mentioned I find this a very intriguing fight, similar to when Eubank Jr boxed Saunders. I just hope Yarde does not freeze and that he really goes for it from the opening bell.

Something I’ve noticed in watching Yarde recently, he sometimes looks as though he’s walking through mud, footwork is so slow!

Once he realises all that stupid tappy padwork and that same mayweather shoulder roll isn’t working let’s see what he’s really made of!

I still see Kovalev stopping him mid rounds
