And he would end his career in endless lawsuits with the loss of all earned money

I saw a tweet in there that makes a lot of sense, about Hearn thinking twice next time giving any PBC fighter a voluntary titleshot in the future.

Of course I understand they wanted better terms, which is logical. But playing it this way and letting it go this far, basically forcing legal action before they back down makes them unwanted businesspartners.

Remember when Al Haymon fanboys were claiming no lawsuit could effect Ruiz. Funtimes

Doesn't matter what he said, it's what he's doing that counts. When it's all said and done, he's doing the right thing. He's honoring the contract and giving AJ a chance to regain the belts. At least he didn't drag it out and keep the rematch on ice for 2 or 3 years.

Each to their own, I'm happy Ruiz gets a little more money, absolutely and I'm even more happy the fight is going ahead AND I give Ruiz Jr the exact same chance at an upset again... However, I believe he could of just aired his "concerns" about Arabia without acting like a diva and having the lawsuit filed against him before deciding on his price to sell out. His attitude in recent interviews and now the sudden change of heart speaks volumes about the man.

But, like you said, it'll be what he does that counts.

Can't really blame the guy feeling himself. Damn near 99% of people gave zero chance of seeing the second half of the fight. Less than that gave him a chance of finishing the fight. Even less than that gave him a chance of winning. Even less than that gave him a chance of KO'ing AJ. So yeah, he feels good about himself.
