Had kovalev comfortably winning. Yarde had a couple of good rounds but aside from that completely got popped with the jab.

The should roll is useless against tall out boxers because you can’t should roll a punch coming from above and it’s crap for walking in. Which is why broner and yarde have to take the fight to their opponents with hands up if the opponent is taller with longer reach and got skills. Same as how floyd did it with mcregor.

Canelo or GGG destroys Kovalev.

A draw ? You could give Yarde three rounds tops if you are generous one clear round was Yardes imo , other than that you couldn’t really argue Kovalev winning the rest.

Which goes to show you how terrified Canelo is of Triple Greatness, that he much rather wait for Golovkin to turn 40 than to fight him again now.

 

Kovalev was in serious trouble in the eighth round where Yarde briefly took control, landing some huge shots that put him within touching distance of the belt. As to the last rounds we dont know if Kovalev would have won them!

 

Yarde only won 1 round up until he was knocked out clean in the 11th.

There was another round or two that could have gone to Yarde but yeah Kovalev was a long way up.

Rofl withougt the ko? yarde did nothing. It's hard to give him 3 or 4 rounds. You dont win a round when your only thought in mind is "roll his right hand rolll his right hand roll his right hand..." you dont get credit for rolling a punch, but for punching.
