    Not a smart move.

It's important to be smart in this live, btw.

Wow what an a hole you are. You should be embarrassed to call yourself a fan. You're clearly a knuckle dragger with minimal intelligence.

    Simple question.
    You say he quit.
I say he was knocked out by a jab.
    Which is it?

I was gonna watch that version but just can't stand that smugness of Ward who only retired early coz he knew the day he got a loss was fast approaching. Well He was clearly beaten by Kovalev but the fantasy scorecards saved his ass lol. But to give him his due he did change his tactics for the re match and decided to punch his opponent in the baws all night after that lol

I don't see this ending well for Yarde, current Beterbiev is better than current Kovalev (in their prime it was the other way of course). Beterbiev is too strong on the inside and punches harder than Yarde, Yarde basically has only a puncher's chance.

Beterbiev's chin isn't iron but instead of staying on his feet and getting nearly stopped he will go down, take a count and recover IMHO.

It took the commentators a long time to realize Kovalev was hurt in the eighth round.only gave yarde the first and the eighth.yarde took a lot of heavy shots he just succumbed to fatigue at the end he does have a good chin.

That is what I see. Working the body and being consistent at it. I hope McGirt has a solid plan. In the Canelo fight, Kovalev has to be more offensive in someways working around the jab and causing swelling and then landing the punches.

Kovalev is way past his best but still a dangerous skilled boxer. I'd favour all the other champs to stop this version of him but one thing that has impressed me in his last two fights is the mental fortitude and heart he displayed. The guy has always had a huge sack on him and I'm really pleased he hung tough and didn't screw this up and squander the Clenelo payday because he hasn't made the kind of money throughout his career his talent deserves and it would've been just his luck to do so.

I actually gave Yarde a much better chance in this than most beforehand, not because I rate him especially albeit he is talented and he put in a creditable performance tonight, but because he's fast and he can punch and I thought that he might be able to catch an old past prime distracted Vodka-swilling Kovalev with legal woes hanging over his head and who had been stopped by an average puncher like Alvarez two fights back with something big at some point. But ultimately Kovalev still had enough left in the tank to administer a boxing lesson with the jab to the young hungry upstart for most of the fight before scoring that JTFO KO. But Yarde was tough and game and he did come close to getting Kovalev out of there in that 8th round and he can only learn from this and will come again
