Fight goes ahead in Saudi, win for Hearn. Ruiz gets more money, win for Al. Doesn't really make a difference, least the fight is on
As I was explaining to @305th in a previous convo my point was more that Hearn and AJ were in control of where the fight would be. I assumed Cardiff would be their choice (hence the bet) but it turned out to be Saudi THEY chose and Ruiz did a bit of complaining but eventually did as he was told!
haha yes of course you meant it all in an abstract, roundabout way didn't you! This content is protected
You assumed wrong and the cost of your error is £50 That's how bets work. One party assumes something will happen and it does, they win and the other party's assumption proves to be wrong, they lose and have to pay up. There's no mitigating factor in this instance, unless you're going to tell us that your computer got hacked by your little brother
God you lot are boring!! I've already said twice when they are in the ring I'll happily pay the bet! In the meantime it's all you've got to hold on to having spouted how 'Ruiz will only fight in America' and 'he's the A side' and 'Haymon is owning Hearn on contract errors'etc!! So I was wrong about Cardiff, you were all wrong and continue to be wrong about everything else regarding the negotiations of this rematch!! Lol plus you continue to tell me AJ won't take the rematch and will fight bums in the UK, bit wanna try and wind me up about a bet on where the rematch will be!! So which is it hypocrites!?
Don't know what Stephanie said! People who write hour long fictitious manuscripts from fantasy land I have on ignore!! ;-)
It’s not just about money. It’s about control of the event on home turf, the fans cheering on AJ... Not everything is about money. Matchroom have put on shows before that make losses or barely break even with a specific goal and long term plans in mind. The priority is that Joshua wins and having the fight in the UK is conducive to that priority. If you think this is a lot of money think about a unification fight with Wilder or Fury. The future paydays depend on Joshua winning in December. With all that in mind again, I’ll reiterate: there is no way Saudi was the preferred option. Doesn’t change the fact that it’s a money spinning option.
