Kovalev was past prime, he did what he had to do and outclassed Yarde. Prime Kovalev would have done him in within 6 rounds.

You can't take a moral victory because a fresh fighter nearly a decade younger had a good moment in one round against a old man but got battered the rest of the fight

I’m watched Kovalev live several times throughout his career, which I doubt you have knobby, so am fully aware he is past his prime.

Yarde deserves a lot of credit for toughing it out as long as he did, but ultimately he gassed and got stopped as I expected. He did do better than I thought he would though.

 

Pleased to see these deluded idiots put in there place, all that lions rubbish and flashy pad work wasn’t enough to beat an old washed up Kovalev

If Yarde has stepped up correctly and had the right experience it might have been a different result tonight
