Bum exposed. Gas tank found out. Old man shot to pieces.... And now...it's time for the big one. Been waiting for this for what feels like forever. Always wanted to see how Campbell shapes up against Loma. Got a sneaky feeling for Campbell here. Think he's gonna ruffle some feathers on this forum. The dream fight is ON! Predicting Campbell, very tight points win, 7-5. Call me crazy all you like. I'm feeling good about this. It's time for people to put their necks on the line and join me on Team Campbell! Win or lose, he's gonna show the haters he is the real deal and come out of there with his head held high. Calling it now.
He's the bigger man for sure and on paper doesn't have much chance, that said I know where you're coming from and I expect it to be competitive.
Well..doubters, sceptics..whatever you wanna call it. You know what I'm talking about. I think Campbell can hold his own against Loma, he's the only one who has any chance of beating him. Forget Teofimo and Devin and especially Gervontaa, both Campbell and Loma beat all three of them I believe. Campbell is in my eyes the clear number 2, and the Linares fight was an off day for many obvious reasons.

I agree, he has the physicality to make things tricky for a while, but I'm not sure he has the style to make it stick. He can't expect to outbox him, not gonna happen. We're talking levels here. If he was the kind of boxer who has a track record of making fights physical - a close-in swarmer - he might be able to play his ace cards of height, reach and weight to a decisive advantage. But that's not his game. He would literally have to rip up a career-long blueprint and reinvent himself as a mini-Hatton type. Campbell won't do that. He will try and keep it long and box. Trouble is, it doesn't matter how 'long' you keep things, when an opponent can change angles as skillfully as Loma does. Changing angles also closes the range and once Loma has taken away Campbell's control of distance, he takes away everything. A puzzle to solve for 2-3 rounds, but then Loma wins handily, maybe a No Mas...
Rob Tebbutt of Boxing Social says all the fighters he's spoken to who have sparred Campbell have praised his power, including Teofimo Lopez who rates Cool Hand Luke highly and who told him some stuff off camera about him that Tebbutt wouldn't elaborate on. FTR, Campbell did drop Teo in sparring This content is protected This content is protected
Campbell has been sparring with Josh Taylor.. this means Campbell will win.. Loma is shot.. I'm on drugs
Yeah, he's so underrated by so many people. If he's dropped that hypetrain, if he's an olympic gold medallist and a commonwealth champion..he can hang in there with Loma, I am convinced by it. I hope people realize that as the fight gets closer, this will not be one-way-traffic AT ALL. Luke can box, his record proves it. And unlike Rigo, he's not the smaller guy.
He's an Olympic gold medalist, world amateur silver medalist and European gold medalist. I really like and rate Shane McGuigan as a trainer and in addition to working on technical aspects of his game he's also focused on making Campbell a physically bigger, stronger and harder hitting 135 pounder and they've already avenged the loss against Mendy in their first fight together and I'd bet my life that this version of Campbell would have beaten Linares given how close he pushed him in their fight and his preparation for that fight was hardly ideal given how he lost his father to Cancer two weeks before the fight. The first Campbell interview I posted is very interesting and his set-up prior to hooking up with McGuigan was hardly ideal by the sounds of it. I'm backing Loma all the way but Campbell is a good and an improved fighter and even the pre-McGuigan trained version of him proved he was at worst only slightly below Linares level in their fight.
There is no build up. Loma is fighting Linares' leftovers. Campbell has beaten nobody of note since losing to Linares. He's just another UK Domestic level guy, that may possibly be Euro level, but we don't know since he faces all bums.
Campbell is indeed the #2 of the division. He is an underrated boxer due to his defeat to Yvan Mendy (which he eventually avenged convincingly) and Linares, who is a top class elite boxer. Against Loma, he needs to be careful because Loma is very good at defeating other southpaws. And if he is planning to outbox Loma, he must ready for Loma's lightning quick transformation to infight style, which means letting Loma to fight in the inside would be dangerous.
Eddie Hearn is plugging ithid fight like the brook triple g fight again. Loma is massive odds for a reason and if Campbell wins it will be the biggest shock in many a year . This is turning into a typical british hype job again because I haven’t seen anything from Campbell which suggests he troubles Loma . Not saying it’s impossible because anything’s possible but Campbell hasn’t even proven he is world class let alone beating an all time great .
