Alexander Povetkin vs Hughie Fury - Predictions

Can see Hughie facing the roof unless he wears that skirt and runs faster than he did in the Parker fight.

 

I see Hughie weathering a few hairy moments but ultimately boxing Povetkin to a UD. Pov isn't what he once was.

 

Ultimately it's fans who win but Hughie by late KO.

 

I'm still undecided. My gut feeling is Povetkin. But Fury has the style to beat Povetkin. Wether he's good enough to implement it along with everything else is another matter, I'll give my official prediction closer to the fight.

 

Interestingly out of all heavyweights Hughie seems to deliver these 50/50 matchups most often. Parker, Pulev and now Povetkin, all of them inside the last two years. Time to put some respect on Shades of Ali.

 

I’m out on a god damn family dinner next week so will have to pull out my phone and hope there is good internet connectivity in the restaurant.

Think Hughie will win.

 

Povetkin is 41, off the juice and coming off a KO loss.

I suspect Fury will win on points.

If Hughie has anything about him, he needs to be able to put on a competent heavyweight boxing performance, which doesn’t include trying to break the record for most miles ran in the ring.

 

Povetkin either ends up in a clinch or swinging for the trees during this fight. I think Hughie can stop him late, too. Povetkin was done by the 4th round against AJ in terms of fatigue. Hughie will exhaust him. I think this could be a real coming out fight for H Fury.

Fury to win, bit of a surprise.

 

Hughie is is going to have made significant improvements from the form he showed against Samuel Peters in my opinion his supposed right crosses were poor.

 

Fury is now a matchroom fighter on a matchroom show with some money making potential due to the Fury name. Unless it's a total hiding or a KO, he will get the decision.

 

Hughie to get a dodgy decision if he's still standing by the end of the 12th.

 

It feels like a fight lasts 2 years when Hughie is fighting.
