Who were the true gents of Boxing?

Arguello was married three times (at least...I've heard as much as five). There was a sort of infamous quote from him in the early 80s that turned up in some boxing magazines that was something like "She's married to me...but I'm not married to her" about his then-wife, meaning that it was basically a one-way open marriage.

 

Margarito did come across as a pretty cool guy in the 24/7 episodes. The Roach spoof was low class though a bad cheap shot.

 

AA should have consulted with Carlos Monzon about how to handle that.

You can find it in Skeehan's biography, he was a bit of a loan shark, the guy owed him money and, like the mob bosses he dined with, Rocky decided to rough him up. During an exhibition Marciano's brother, Sonny, deviated from the script and started to look good landing a decent shot, so Rocky decided to tear into him leaving Sonny screaming. Sure, his wife gained weight but then again so did he, Marciano got pretty fat and ugly too, he was no Adonis. Guess it boils down to whether you think sleeping with a bunch of hookers disqualifies you from good guy status.
