I'm honestly a tad interested to see how the co-main event (Brock Jarvis vs. Ernesto Saulong) goes - but would never in a million years pay a dime for it. :sisi1

I mean, that's "only" about ~$40 in USD, but still. Absolutely not a snowball's chance in hell I'd spend even half that for this card.

    Babs got a point.

It is a free market, we can pay and watch or choose not to purchase.

Frankly I love boxing and I'll pay because I want to. Got mates who winge about buying a PPV a couple times a year but put random white powder up their nose for $300 every other weekend.

Side note I ain't buying this one though.

I am going to have to block you as I do not want anymore interactions with a vile cretin such as yourself you really have no shame and should've been banned a long time ago. The fact that you still post in the SM Aussie thread shows what a sick twisted individual you really are. Just do everyone a favour and crawl back into whatever rat hole you came out of.

I don't have a problem buying PPV all I said was it was a joke. PPV should really only be reserved for high profile fights. I agree with you I love boxing and pretty much buy everything.

Horn got a gift against Manny in my opinion ,got schooled by Crawford and the Mundine fiasco meant nothing. Got to see how Horn comes back from a long break after getting comprehensively out boxed, If its a Good Referee who is fair and wont allow Horns dirty tactics i think Zerafa has a great chance of beating him

The man is clearly not well mentally. Engaging in discussion with him is completely pointless as he is seemingly incapable of having a rational one.

Everything in aus is PPV, it’s ****ed, they had baby Tim tsyzu (who I genuinely like, I went to his debut fight) fighting a journeyman for $60 here lol.

They’d put two dogs fighting over dinner scraps on ppv if they knew they’d get five buys. Like boxing is probably honestly the hardest sport to follow if you’re Australian

Honestly I rate him, whether you view the pacquiao fight as a robbery or not, he gave manny his hardest fight in years, far harder than any of his post ko6 opponents (bar FMJ) of Thurman, Bradley, Vargas, Rios, Broner, Algerie, and Matthyse have given him.

He went out on his shield vs Crawford and never backed down, people slag him for the loss, but he didn’t curl into a ball and give up, he put his all in there. The same Crawford people have beating Spence, etc, if you’re rating crawdaddy as #1 p4p I don’t think losing to him necessarily makes you a ‘hypejob’.

But boxing has never been an objective sport for the fans, so I’ve never cared much if people hate a particular fighter or never give them credit.

There's nothing I enjoy more than a good Australian boxing promotion. We've had three in the last six weeks which have featured most of the best talent in the country. Keep them coming I say.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first two & am looking forward to this one. Rightly or wrongly, I like to think of money spent on PPVs as an investment in the future of Australian boxing. I'd much rather put my hand in my pocket for competitively matched local stuff than most overseas shows.

Horndog v Zerafa is a very good main event. I think Zerafa would know this is his big chance to break through so will give it his all. He's had the experience of a distance fight against a world class opponent a couple of fights back & should be primed & ready for this one. Let's see how Horndog handles it.

The main support features Brock Jarvis competitively matched. Perhaps for the first time. I would have thought there are better talents in Australian boxing for Dean Lonergan to invest in but I would have said that when Lonergan began promoting Horndog. So I'm interested to see how he goes in what is the first of a potential 15-fight deal.

Joe Goodall is also on the promotion & matched with the only guy to take him the distance so far as a pro. The only Joe Goodall fights I've seen have featured him trying to knock the other guy's head off from the get-go. I'm interested to see how he goes against someone capable of offering meaningful resistance.

I remember when Vic Darchinyan was starting out he was matched with all-African amateur champ Sande Kizito three times. On paper, they were nothing fights b/c Kizito had a nondescript professional record. In reality, Kizito was an accomplished amateur & they were key early development fights for Vic.

There can be unexpected gems on some of these promotions. Daniel Lewis winning the Australian Junior Middleweight title in his third pro fight against Wade Ryan was one. Cesar Mateo Tapia winning the Australian Super Middleweight title against Ren Quinlan was another. Both fights featured guys who can go on & become world class professionals.

There is no issue with either the Horn or Tszyu fights being on PPV especially due to the fact there would have likely been no tv coverage for either without being on PPV.
The issue is the ridiculous cost which is the same as higher quality world title fights, like I said in another thread $15-$20 max. would be fair price
