    It boggles my mind why Povetkin would even consider taking this fight because beating Hughie does absolutely nothing to his career! I guess the bread was too good to pass up! The fact that people are still putting fighters like Povetkin and Pulev on their top 10 heavyweights list really displays the strength of the division. Although, Tyson and Wilder are like Rock and Austin in this era, aside from those 2 heavyweight superstars, it's not a very deep division at all. I rank Hughie Fury very low however with this bout taking place in England, even with Povetkin being the favorite, anything can happen if it reaches the scorecards. Ideally, Povetkin should outclass and defeat Fury but can he knock Hughie out?

    It's merely padding his record with another quasi "name". Also, if he can stop him, he'll have a feather in his cap that Pulev and Parker don't.

    That's the thing, can he though? Fury has a respectable chin and if this bout goes the distance, you already know...
    But that's what makes this intriguing

    Yeah, I think he can, Pulev rocked him a few times, and Povetkin is far more adept at closing the distance, getting inside and finding openings to land his power shots and if he can't do that, he is willing to go all out in an effort to make them just to land that KO shot.

    I agree and I can't understand why fury is doing this as he showed against Pulev that he's short on skill and the very basics,least that's how it looked.

    It for some cash nothing more. Same with Povetkin..

    Unless Povetkin has gotten older since AJ I can't see him not knocking out Fury...

    I really hope Povetkin crushes Hughie, but I just worry so much about his age.

    Povetkin will be 40 a few days after the fight. That’s old. And he hasn’t looked sharp in a long time.

    Respectable chin and movement, prime Pov I have no hesitation, 40 yr old Pov is in dangerous territory here..I also think its a pointless fight, must be great dough or it would be the last fight i'd take if I was Pov

    I think it will be similar to the Kovalev Yarde fight... Fury will hurt Povetkin in one of the mid rounds... then Povetkin will gather himself, and end the fight late.

    Easy money on a high profile card that will almost certainly land him another big fight or at the very least a fight that if he wins will grant him one.

    If Hughie Fury fights as he did against Parker against Povetkin he wins a stinker of a decision.

    Povetkin isnt dangerous after 4 rounds, and at that point Fury will be picking him off on the back foot coming in.

    This is the reason why Hughie took the fight. For Povetkin he must know Hughie doesnt have a good style for him to look good against.
