    Struggling a bit to take it in but for me Kovalev - like Calzaghe - was a better boxer but Carl had a superior resume

    Am I blind? You haven’t mentioned Kovalev beating cleverly, Hopkins or pascal???

    Also the first Kessler froch fight, Carl had to fly out on the day of the fight due to some smoke in the sky that affected flights that weekend so it wasn’t ideal

    1. I couldn't care less about Ward in this specific discussion.

    2. Citing opinionated fantasy head to head results as a basis of rating is a far more inferior method of rating than using resumes.

    Kessler is arguably the best looking boxer of all time so Kessler>>Kovalev>>Froch but Froch has the best looking wife

    Kessler like both Kovalev and Froch was a fearless road warrior (aka a real man) who would travel to his opponent's backyards where everything was stacked in their favour at the drop of a hat time and time again. Have gloves will travel deck-stacking female dog diva free zone.

    In addition to being a great fighter, a scholar and a gent both in and out of the ring, arguably the most handsome boxer of all times and a granite-jawed fearless road warrior, Kessler also has the coolest tatts of any fighter in history. Kovalev and Froch, however, inexplicably somehow managed to pull off being totally badass despite not having a single tatt adorning their bodies which is almost unheard of.

    You know what... I change my mind. It goes against my initial reaction but after second thought, I do rate Kova higher.

    Froch promised Pascal he'd give him a rematch (in his backyard of Canada IIRC) but unlike Kessler he reneged on his word) and we must hold that against him. Kovalev fought the titanium-jawed Pascal twice over in Canada and he beat the soul out of him in the first fight (and indeed in the rematch albeit both fights were competitive) whereas Froch vs Pascal was mighty close (what a fight!).

    Kovalev's win against 50 year old Bhop is 9/10 while Froch shutting out a towards the end of his prime Arthur Abraham is 5/10?

    That just doesn't sound right.

    Kovalev. Don't even need to think about it. Wins aside the way in which he beat his opposition gives him an edge. Froch going life and death with almost every other half decent opponent he faced hurts him here big time even then his resume isn't what some make it out to be. Kessler lived In the shadow of two great SMWS in Calzaghe and Ward(although the latter disgracefully headbutted him and should have been DQ'd) Hes easily the #2 here greatness wise but his resume is certainly lacking when stacked to Krusher and the Cobra.
