Not sure why you trying to add to the silly boxing v mma debate with your comment that this was evidence that boxers have the better defence, the fact is BJ wasn't even trying to defend his punches and likely would have avoided them with ease like he did his takedown,anybody standing in front of a bigger guy begging to be hit like that is going to gets knocked down or KO'd like Penn was for a few seconds,he still got up pretty much straight away and kicked the guys arse after letting him get those 2 shots in. Bj downward spiral from 1 of the best MMA fighters ever has been sad,with the other fights and issues he's been involved in the last few years I think it's likely he has mental issues and or CTE which should be enough for UFC to pull him from his fight with Nik Lentz and make him undergo a full evaluation,Penns 7 losses in a row obviously should have been more then enough reason but hopefully this recent behaviour makes certain he doesn't fight again.

It's sad that Penn is now a punch line and meme especially with newer fans. If you're old enough to remember his reign (or have taken the time to go back and watch his earlier fights if you're a newer fan) Then you'll know that the guy was a phenomenal talent worthy of all the praise he received and still receives from those who remember. His nickname may be arrogant and a bit hyperbolic but it's spot in. The dude was a phenomenal talent a PRODIGY. He could do everything and looked great while doing it. It's a shame that he didn't have the mindset if someone like GSP or Miocic. The guy would probably be the consensus GOAT if he did.
