Hughie is going to expose a lot of flaws in pohvetkin's game. Povetkin always fights people on short notice. The old warlock has a lot of tricks up his sleeve.
Povetkin is ancient. You don't expose an old man as anything but old. During his prime he beats any version of Lyle.
This. Povetkin is such a complete fighter. Lyle could hit some but I think Povetkin is next level to him.
Povetkin by decision. He’s got excellent fundamentals and boxing ability, as well as a good enough chin to stand up to the best Lyle has to offer. It wouldn’t be a walk in the park though
I like alexander here in a real good highly contested bout. Probably a decision bout that takes something out of both guys,
Actually guys, I think we are all forgetting that Lyle fought in the *clears throat* golden era of the heavyweight division, and Povetkin fought in the weakest era in the divisions history, therefore I am reversing my decision and you should to.
This is a real good fight. Pov has more skill. Lyle may be tougher and stronger. Both can hit. A pick em for me
Pretty sure Povetkin could handle this guy even on his worst day: https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/2403 And while this guy is pretty good, there's not a chance he beats Povetkin twice: https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/276
I’m assuming your sarcastic, but there’s something quite interesting that should be pointed out and I point this out on the assumption that Wilder maintains himself as one of the top 3 heavyweights of the era. People will predicate arguments on old school fighters winning mythical matchups based on the fact that said fighter made it to the top of the tree in their era, so they wouldn’t lose to contenders in future eras, but when it’s flipped to modern fighters the philosophy suddenly becomes inconsistent. It is to early to tell with Wilder, but if he’s still at the top of the game in his own era, we’d have to assume he’d handle people like Young, even if he looked foolish at times
