Shouldn't really have taken as much time out as he did then , needed to keep the momentum going after the WBSS win. Can't have it all.
Give him Eubank Jr. Build up his profile a bit more and he can hand another loss to Eubank. Win/win all round.
That a no then? Are you one of these geeks who argues about purses/contracts etc online when you haven't got a clue about it? #geek
Not at all and neither am an ALT like you.... Sad little man. Outside of Groves, Smith has been on a poor run of opponents, doubled with his lack of personality got well paid in the super 6. If he cannot get the fights at 168, move to 175, because feasting on the N’dams in this world won’t help his case for bigger fights you ****wit
No sure what's going on behind the scenes but it's clear Smith's prime is currently being wasted. Since a career best win over Groves all he's done in nearly a year is beat a past it MW. And no fights currently on the horizon. I agree with those saying it's Brook all over again. Smith has the ability , size and looks to be a start but outside of hardcore fans is relatively unknown. I hope he's not wasting time focusing on a mega money fight with Ginger nuts. That won't happen - Ginger won't fight a much bigger decent fighter in his prime. no way. (he's going after Kov who is clearly well past it). All very odd.
Again, I reiterate I am not criticising Smith for wanting big fights I am criticising him for wanting big fights without : - being active - being a big draw - being willing to negotiate a lower purse to make these big fights happen
He wants to be active in big fights. If he fights a can next you will be the very first person to criticise! He’s a fairly big draw. He’s one of a few fighters who will sell out an arena in the country. Why should he take less for the Saunders fight than the N’Dam fight. It’s a PPV headliner selling out an arena - again that’s Hearns fault for creating an overpaying monster in DAZN.
If Callum wanted to stay active and get a big fight straight off the WBSS he could have gotten it. At the time there would have been lots of options. Instead he took 9 months off, and came back against Ndam. These are facts. He is a good Saturday night headliner but Callum would only be PPV in a big domestic fight (Saunders / Eubanks) or against a PPV star (Canleo / GGG). Would Smith vs Plant / Benavidez sell on PPV? it would be tough The offer to fight Saunders was 7 figures, i highly doubt he got that to fight Ndam.
He got that for the N’Dam fight. It was chief support on a DAZN card. The likes of Benavidez and Plant like you’ve mentioned. If Smith went stateside to fight them it would be PPV as would Ramirez and plenty of other fights. The offer was derisory let’s be honest. If/when it gets made under Hearn he will earn at least 3/4 times that.
Bro your talking about Eubank - firstly he is not gonna fight Callum Smith. He is avoiding any legit opponents plus he is gonna be a nightmare in negotiations. There is no way that fight is gonna happen.
