    Good point.

    That's possible.

There's only brief highlights of younger Moore fighting Ron Richardson in 1940 - hard to tell how good Moore was back then.

Against Smith in 1946 he looks excellent already - kinda like Toney with bigger firepower.

And he looks faster, more agile, with better reflexes than in the latter part of his career.

The fight, incidentally, took place after the first Ezz fight and before the second one.

By that time Moore was already campaigning at light heavyweight.

Too bad Moore footage is scarce - makes it hard to pinpoint the exact moment when Moore started to decline.

He was a quick technician who could move, he's certainly a more fair analogy to the reserved Tunney than the Charles and Patterson who faced Moore.

From what's written Charles beat Moore with his two handed power punching, not by outboxing him with speedy mobility.

And the Patterson who beat Moore was an aggressive swarmer who again beat him with two handed power punching.

I don't think speed or mobility is a problem for Moore, as much as speed and agggressive power punching is. Tyson, Dempsey, Patterson, early aggressive Charles, ..bad match ups for the Mongoose. Tunney..not so much.

Tunney would beat Moore with what else,...text book orthodox boxing...and there was no better proponent of that form of fighting than Tunney.

Tunney in an intense technical match up. Moore has his moments, but Tunney would definitely survive any hard shots, and would be incessantly moving.

You can not compare Charles in any way to Dempsey as a puncher. Dempsey was lethal. Charles was along the lines of a boxer puncher.

Tunney wins a U decision over Moore that is competitive the first five rounds before Tunney takes over. Tunney 10-5 in rounds.

Did you see it? From what I've read it could go Moore's way if you actively try to score rounds for Moore. His team felt he won, and it was obviously close

Marciano to Dempsey? Marciano can only be compared in terms of punching power to Dempsey.

Tunney wins convincingly , This would look like Archie's fights with Charles, now Tunney vs Ezzard ,that's a tough one

Tunney, he keeps in front thru out the fight. He maybe drops Moore as he comes in.
    Tunney by unanimous.

    Marciano>>>> Dempsey

In a lot of aspects. Power, Competition, Chin, Stamina, Fearlessness, Consistency

Dempsey has speed, footwork and defence. That's it
