Last night I had the pleasure of watching this classic on YouTube.

Who today could live with or even beat these outstanding fighters?

Would be interesting to see how Arguello would have gone about solving a problem like Lomachenko. For all his brilliance, if Arguello did have a flaw it was his occasionally flat footwork and a slight susceptibility to speed.

I'd pick Loma to beat a 135 Arguello

Crawford could give Pryor fits before submitting to the aggression

    Other than that not many

Arguello and Prior at their peaks? I'm coming up blank.

This was such a great fight, and I don't argue much with people whom prefer this to the actual FOTC.

Nobody else could have beaten Arguello that night imo.

Yeah I think I agree. On the other hand how does Loma do against a pure boxer like Arguello. If Alexis is accurate he will catch Loma at times.

You see Pryor coming from behind to win?

    Pryor could out work Crawford.

I was certainly living in the past last night. Eveyone tells me with S & C training boxers are a in better physical shape these days but I struggle to agree.

Just look at the pace these 2 fought at.

No I think he'd give him some issues with movement, make him look bad whilst winning type thing. Maybe take a couple rounds. But make no mistake Pryor would definitely outwork him

You should watch Salido vs Vargas. These guys threw 1593 power punches over 12 rounds (2127 total punches). That's 133 power punches per round (177 total punches thrown per round). Neither man went down a single time.

I have Salido's entire career set. All fights are exciting with him.

Pryor also had an excellent chin or great recuperative powers.

Crawford would have his hands full.

He beats them both. KOs Pryor and beats Arguello by decision, due to his awkward southpaw movement. We had a good thread on Pac vs Arguello a while ago.
