Another fellow Brit and a fan of Hatton in general but Hatton got lucky in his career in that it looks like he only lost to the elite (except at the very end) but in reality he was overpromoted a bit, and a number of top 15s would have beaten him.

He had a good style for brutalising over-matched opponents, but wasn't elite, and the truly brutal Pacquiao fight went exactly as predicted by all who saw this.

Junior Witter would've given him some real problems had they fought.

Don't know about a different result, but a peak, trained Samart vs Fenech would've been one hell of a fight.

But this is such a broad question it invites answers like that. I'm not having a go at the OP but c'mon, there literally are hundreds of fights some people could name. It's too broad a question without specifying weight classes or something.

Chan Hee Park could've took Oguma at his best. Not sure though.

Which goes to prove that if you say something often enough, some people will pick it up and run with it until it become folklore.

The thread doesn't say name every fight does it, it's just about giving examples.

Actually I believe Park was in his prime at the time, it was Oguma who was on the downside. I recall the mags at the time all surprised when Oguma stopped him and then repeated on points.

Mostly very good shouts scar, but I think Park would always be a nightmare for Canto. He just bounced him the first time and the second fight was only so close imo because Park was a headcase and lacking heart.
