At the end of the day, they should honor it. The official result via the 'officials' was a Martinez win. It was changed to a NC afterwards by the WBC President, some time after.

They settled the bet based on the official result at the time which was a Martinez KO, so they dont have a leg to stand on.

 

I don’t think they have reversed it, it’s still saying the amount has been withdrawn to my card.

 

They could still reverse it. I would check their rules for boxing events.

It's not a case of a wrong result being read out. The referee ruled the fight over, the official result read out was Martinez via way of knockout.

The result got overturned afterwards but it shouldn't matter, I'd need to check their rules though for boxing events.

The thing is they paid out anyway if the fight had been declared a no contest in a few weeks time they wouldn’t have dared do that it’s their mistake, when I done them a couple of weeks ago I was technically in the wrong and would have had no complaints if they did it to me, but they haven’t done a thing, and it was £190ish so not exactly insignificant

 

The roll from Edwards was a joke. All tonight has done has earned him another beating in front of his Matchroom/X Factor fans. Martinez is hard as nails and way too fast for Edwards and his telegraphed timid jab. I'd love to see Martinez v Selby in England for the WBC, hopefully this rematch can get sorted fast and then the rematch that matters can happen.

 

I reckon Edward's will move up a weight if he's smart. Or if he wants to cash out at this weight take the rematch, if he loses can say he needs to move up in weight.

The atmosphere was brilliant in there last night and 100% played a part in Sulimain acting on the spot like that.

BUT Charlie was done. He weren’t getting up anyway. Look at the start of the barrage there was a naughty body shot that done him. That was the beginning of the blonde haired lesbians downfall.

Simply outclassed. Martinez is brilliant. I knew he was good when he beat Selby but still fancied Edwards to nick it on points. Boy was I wrong.

 

Martinez is a seriously bad ass kid, that story of him fighting in prison to make weight is nuts.

Imagine if Edwards had to take that fight in Mexico and arrived a week before the fight, it would have been over in one, he just couldn't live with the speed and tenacity, which is why I have always said that, to me, he had never done enough to be a World Champion.

 

It will never happen but if Andrew Selby and Edwards ever share a ring Selby is going to run rings around him.

Martinez was brilliant by the way. Mingled in with the crowd, was on the concourse getting pictures and everything, he didn’t mind it one bit. Even walked out the arena the same way as everyone and was absolutely made up everyone wanted pictures with him. Top fella.

 

it would have been better for Edwards to just take the loss. Everyone knows he is a cry baby, roll around on the ground, fake champion now.
