Dominated the fight while obviously being a weight class above where he should be.

Yeah, but he's winning on skill alone. He's better physically at 130, and the opposition is better IMO.

It was a competitive fight but not a close one, people scoring rounds for Campbell for simply not crumbling and taking all one way traffic lol.

Nothing wrong with the scorecards, 10-2/9-3 were fair. Anything more and you’d just be giving Campbell rounds just for still being in there

That's my take. Trouble is there are two ways to take stock of a fight: 1. The overall impression of the contest, and by that measure it was competitive and closer 2. By scoring each round. Even when Campbell had some success, Loma either responded with a better reply or had done enough prior to win the round.
Of course judges score round-by-round - and pay no attention to the fight as a whole - so a scorecard can be lopsided in a competitive fight ...

His huge advantages in reach, weight and height obviously played a big factor, but he's also very skilful and technically sound, has a great trainer who devised and excellent game plan, hits hard, and he's very mentally strong and has a real steely resolve which belies his boyish looks.

I could see by the look in his eyes that he was very confident of winning and you only have to look at how close he pushed Linares a couple of weeks after losing his dad to Cancer and how he uprooted by himself and relocated to the US to train over in the gyms over there to try and be the beast fighter he can be to know that he's not lacking in the mental fortitude department. I was genuinely worried about this fight because I knew Campbell was a very talented fighter with huge physical advantages and skills and had improved a lot under McGuigan's tutelage.

This post should be stickied for all to read. So many people can't grasp this concept.

Also finishing a round stronger can make previous good work by the opponent be forgotten, Iam up to round 7, think I have Campbell taking one round for certain and a possibility of another

Good to see a vacant belt be contested in this fashion like I must say, rare these days

I don't think there's even been anyone who completely unified their third weight class in the 4 belt era, and Loma's about to do it in 16 fights.
