Oh, man, I will rather belive that nice guy on the internet better than my own eyes. What could go wrong? I saw it with my own eyes, cambell is a bum, a normal fighter at best, who cant even throw a decent jab. Ok, let's say he's "just good". But nothing else, not a little bit more than that. You all wanna praise campbell because lomachenko has problems fighting southpaws if he doesnt have massive size advantage? that's your problem, dont sell me BS.
compubox are two guys like you and me pressing buttons just when they feel like. It makes no sense to trust compubox. At least not in a single fight. Very useful, though, to analyse a fighter as a whole along all his career.
a division where a 19 yo guy who has actually done nothing in boxing and is, at the very best, only a very good prospect is the #3 or #4. So what? nobody's saying the division is not trash. If campbell is the #2, you can directly thrwo the whole division to the garbage. And "clear", is only because you say it. Because actually campbell has won to nooone to earn that #2.
Before the first Campbell knock down the match for me was very balanced (however Lomacenko led). The cards of the judges are exaggerated as much as those of Fury-Povetkin.
This was a competitive fight, even Loma described the difficulty adjusting to Luke's reach. That being said, Loma always responded after Luke had any sort of success. The Andre Ward card was a complete joke but the judges blowout cards felt too extreme. I think 116-111 seems fairer based on me watching the fight without scoring the rounds. Luke was lucky he had the home town ref though with a few moments like the rugby tackle when he was about to get put away. I think Campbell fought a great fight and probably would have beaten all the other belt holders tonight, but he fought an ATG so no shame in that loss.
After I watch this fight, I am convinced that Luke Campbell is absolutely not an ordinary fighter. He is currenty a higher level boxer than he used to be when he fought Linares. And I believe Campbell can beat both Haney and Lopez. I hope to see Campbell getting his world title someday.
You don't know the sport of boxing as well as you think you do. You've got some wickedly bad judgement when it comes to assessing overall talent levels of fighters.
