Álvarez rehydrated to 177lbs (above the light heavyweight limit!) after missing the mark for 154, disgusting.

    Round 2

Álvarez continues to just try over and over to lull in Lara with the slow left jab, but is getting countered repetitively with the left hand. Lara is gaining in confidence and starting to lather up rapid combinations, playing around, experimenting. Álvarez looks stunned by a right jab and Lara goes in for the kill with a right hook and double left hand, knocking Álvarez into the ropes, which support him and keep him from spilling onto the floor below. Mark Nelson lets in continue but Álvarez is a sitting duck. Lara throws a million darts at his face in the span of a few seconds and soon Álvarez is crumpling by the ropes.

    KO2!!!

    Álvarez family breakdown, p4p:

Saúl (Canelo) >>>>> Ricardo >>> Rigoberto >> Ramón.

You have a Hall of Fame shoe-in, a decent champ, a paper champ, and then an utter chump. Quite a gradient all from the same parental set of loins.

Better question, how did El Inocente get ranked to challenge for a world title? He was knocked out by Ríos last year and rebounded with a single victory in April over José Carlos Paz, then with a record of 23-8-1.

    Seriously, wtf.
