At the weigh in, compared to Povetkin, it was though he had no back and chest, like he was 2D. This idea of going to cruiser might be the thing for him, really. He can clearly make it if he's weighing in the 220s while trying to bulk up. Not the same money but his chin is good and he'd have even more length on people than at HW, maybe do a little more damage too.

Yeah his dad wants him to be Tyson don't he but as you say he's just not that.

He's had a weird career, at 24 it feels like he's been around forever and it's always either random nobodies or steps up too far, talk about peaks and Valleys in opposition.

Strange signing by Hearn. I really struggle to see what they do with him.

Fans don't wanna see Hughie Fury. I can't imagine sky would be thrilled with him either.

Yeah this. He's not World level as he simply has zero offence. He doesn't sit down on his punches and has a horrible right hand. He just skips around the ring throwing a pitter patter jab that never lands and if it does, has no authority behind it.

Yeah, very odd. The Parker fight was very weird. Literally hadn't been in a ring for more than a year, and that against Fred Kassi. Suddenly he's straight into a world title fight.

Seems obvious that he should be establishing himself at upper domestic level but there's just never seemed to be any desire to do that.

The Fury family are insanely talented, but they seem to be more about the show than the performance

None of the other legends of boxing would have gone on a dating reality show when their career was just starting, it was all about the gym , training and winning

I reckon MTK approached Hearn and basically asked for a favour by putting him on.

    Hughie is terrible.

Peter coming out with the usual things. "He's just a baby" "I thought it was closer than the judges had it".

Now he's going to drop back to 2 ordinary fighters, get a couple wins then back for a 4th go at a proper target. It's like wading through treacle with him.

it’s the same thing every time from fury! Peter said we would see something different tonight but it was the same old rubbish!

I wouldn’t mind if he just went for it in the last round against Parker, pulev, Povetkin and threw the kitchen sink at them, at least he rolled the dice but there just no urgency

He’s terrible to watch really and by the end of it I was cheering on Povetkin to stop him

    Says it all really

If he has any serious intentions of become a world champion, kid needs to read this forum thoroughly.

Wealth of advice/information on here from a load of faceless internet geeks who’ve never stepped in a ring. What’s more like all the best information, it’s free!

It’s really up to Hughie at this point.

Posted time and again that I just cannot take to Hughie Fury and seen nothing to indicate that he is even good enough to be near the top level.

Credit to him for getting in the ring with PED Povetkin and risking a serious smashing.

Surely with the money he has he can get that acne treated cleared up, he's covered and it must be a hindrance.

Does have the same feel as the Reds replacing Klopp with Tony Pullis - you know what is coming and it is never exciting
