Gołota wasn't better than Ortiz, definitely disagree here and I'm form Poland.

No love for Evander or Bowe?
I think Evander and Bowe would have an easy night with the windmill as would Sonny.

But I do agree with what you say in that Wilder does have a better chance then most would like to believe indeed.

Dismissing a fighter entirely is quite unfair I don't particularly like Wilder but he has the dimensions power, speed and reach to trouble a few ATG's Luis Ortiz is no ATG not close but he'd more then likely beat John L! do they belong in the same breath not at all! but it's quite unfortunately true that Ortiz could win, just because a fighter is historically great does not mean that the h2h facts are washed away, nostalgia dulls even the sharpest mind.

Not attempting to disrespect the old masters but you must consider the facts Wilder has a decent chance and would possibly be the favorite against a few legends of past eras.

What proof do you have that Ortiz would beat Sullivan? There is none.

You pay terrible disrespect to past ATG when you choose an obvious inexperienced low skilled fighter over them. Said fighter needs to prove themselves. Wilder has amateur level abilities in most areas of boxing talent. Big right hand. That’s it.

Wilder would be dangerous for big guys like Bowe and Lennox, they get tagged by hard shots to easily. Any slow moving boxer-puncher (Norton, even Louis) would be in danger facing Wilder. Walcott would confuse him with his cakewalking and bait him into counters all night long. Smokin Joe wouldn't be an easy opponent, Wilder would buckle under Frazier's relentless pressure while Dempsey and Tyson's vicious brawling bob and weave style would just overwhelm him. Ali would outpoint him effortlessly, he'd run rings around him and score with the jab, keeping Wilder turning and preventing him from surging foreword to land those crushing rights. Marciano's iron will, relentlessness and counter punching would end Wilder's night early. Even an old Ezzard, shopworn as a HW, could KO Wilder, the Bomber tends to over extend himself when he throws his power shot leaving him off balance sometimes with his legs crossed, expect one of Charles' signature right hand counters and Wilder napping on the ring canvas.

You sir are arguing for the sake of it, it was just an example... From what we've seen you can certainly make arguments for him beating SOME ATGS stop acting as if he's some neighborhood palooka I'm not defending Wilder as some kind of misunderstood talent like George in the 70s he is what he is a lanky brawler with amazing power and no respect, a lot like Andy Ruiz he deserves some polite words at the very least, he is a champion after all.

We can make conclusions based on the Ortiz fight he wont crumble against a power puncher at the very least and from the fury boxing lesson he got we can see he doesn't lose heart or turn down on the aggression and will eventually breakthrough a very elusive awkward guard! One belonging to a nearly seven foot giant with fast hands and amazing ring IQ mind you.

I personally believe he KO's Norton and Floyd both of them are ATG's I'd like to hear how either beats Wilder besides them just being old pugs from tougher litters.

I could pick him over Norton and perhaps Patterson at the moment, and that's about it!

Nah, he has a good chance of beating those with his best punch but people make the mistake of thinking Wilder goes out and throws loads of full power right hands. He doesn't. He stands around and doesn't do anything for a fair few rounds.

Doing that against Bowe and Liston with his chin and lack of Defence is asking to get KOed. Evander would time his jab and throw a one of his beautiful counters and take him down.

    I find Ortiz massively overrated.
He has never put in a performance as good as the one Golata did in the Bowe fights.

To me Ortiz's power is overrated, he has very flat feet and is a sucker for a right hand. He's slow and has never beaten anyone. The best things he has going for him is he's a southpaw and he's a big fella.
If he wasn't Cuban he'd never have been a boogeyman. He was hyped up for Wilder imo

I heard he sparred Joe Louis in his younger days.

Wilder does not know how to fight. One trick pony.
