People forget Pac is a natural LW and is only at WW and can make that weight well now because of father-time weight, like how Duran fought at MW because he put on that extra mass from age. But this was a guy who weighed in 138 for a 140 fight after fighting at 147 and weighed 142 at 147. Can’t recall anyone weighing that low under the limit for their weight. In fact I’d say Pac is more a natural 130lbs, he was fighting at 130 at the same age Loma is fighting at 135 now. And my reasoning for that is, every LW is bigger than Pac, taller and weight. At best he’s a small LW. When LWs like Mikey, Rios, Crawford, mayweather, horn are coming up to “your weight” of WW and they still outweigh you, it shows. In fact can anyone name me a top former LW who’s come up to WW and isn’t bigger than Pac?
Avenged his first loss as a pro clearly, nip and tuck battle with Linares, gave a very solid losing effort against the best fighter of his generation. Deserves a ton of kudos.
I did root (and pick) against him in the Yvan Mendy rematch - being a high-key fanboy of The Lion, maybe his biggest outside France - and then, I'll readily admit, picked Lomachenko to stop him within 6-7 rounds last week... but yeah, I'm done underestimating him. Though he can run hot & cold he is, at his very best, a super-elite.
Well Loma's opinion in the post fight presser he said yes he had been hurt by some of Campbels shots...you'd better let Loms know he's wrong Guy!
Don't get me wrong, i love Pac's attitude + Fighting style. But hes been cycling. Means he can climb and "bulk up" more than other fighters.
