I give Salido as an example because he was bigger, could take Loma's punches, add onto the mix Salido punched with Loma. The results speak for themselves. That's why I say if he keeps moving up, hewill eventually run into a guy that is all the things I mentioned. As of right now, 130-135 might be his max. Only time will tell.

Lomachenko now has the experience of facing a Salido type now, going the championship distance and being fouled the last of which I think was the biggest factor. Would a fighter be allowed to throw low blows like that again? I think not with Lomachenko's profile nowadays and a lack of a real top drawer pressure fighter at 135.

I've been saying for months now that Campbell has improved a lot under Shane McGuigan's tutelage and in addition to making technical improvements this Campbell 2.0 is bigger, stronger and hits hard and harder than Campbell 1.0.

People told me he can't punch

Hmm.. well these sure look and sound like hard punches to me

And I keep seeing interviews with fighters who've shared a ring with him, people who have been in camp with him or who have interviewed many fighters who've sparred or fought him and one thing I keep hearing from them is that he hits really hard and I know that one of the first things Shane McGuigan set about doing with him when they hooked up with each other was to make him a bigger, stronger harder hitting 135 pounder and he worked specifically on his power.

Campbell dropped Teofimo Lopez in sparring and Teo rates him very highly.

He has a KO 73% and of the 5 fighters to go the distance with him prior to last night Mendy is teak-tough and has never been stopped in 49 fights, Argenis Mendez has only been stopped once in 33 fights and he's fought a lot of good fighters, Craig Woodruff has only been stopped once from his 5 defeats in 12 fights, Chuck Jones has only been stopped once from his 14 defeats in 20 fights and both the Jones and Woodruff fights were only 4 and 6 rounders respectively. Linares is the only opponent of Campbell's who lasted the distance who has been stopped more than once and like I said McGuigan has been specifically working on improving Campbell's power since teaming up with him and he's hitting harder now.

His ex-stablemate Lee McGregor giving a very honest assessment of Campbell's chances here. He picked Loma to win and thought he might outclass him, but he did make a point of saying that he's seen what he's capable of first-hand in the gym and that he can really punch and that he feels people are sleeping on his power which is what I also felt too.

    But Luke can't punch

Loma: ''He [Campbell] has very big power''

    Exactly, man.

Sosa is a good example of the kind of pressure that Lomachenko's footwork and angles defuse without a great deal of difficulty. While I certainly expect that Berchelt will give a better account of himself, the end result will ultimately be the same: Loma will turn, frustrate, and batter that kid into a late stoppage or comfortable UD.

Unfortunately, too many reflexively invoke the Salido fight without any sense of context whatsoever.

That’s be a good fight, although I think Loma adjusts to the W.

Berchelt is one of my favourite fighters currently, as is Loma.

Berchelt is tough, hits hard, and has demonstrated an improving skill set. At 130lbs, however, he gets outboxed or stopped late.

Berchelt is a boxer-puncher. While he does have the tendency to brawl, he's most effective when he keeps the distance and works behind a jab. When he tries to be relentless and slug it out, he's very hittable and is one dimensional. He's hardly anything like Salido.

Gervonta Davis is the biggest threat to Loma, which'll be the fight to make once Loma deals with the winner of Lopez/Commey.

Berchelt has Jason Sosa problems to deal with first and I see Sosa's bombs shattering that glass.

    Loma is a pressure fighter.
