Vasyl Lomachenko vs Naoya Inoue p4p debate

Eye test I like Inoue. Loma has the better resume.

Loma as of this weekend, for now he's my pfp No1.
But it's close. Inoue is churning through world class fighters like a prospect does to résumé filler on the come up. If he beats Donaire, and he should, he'll overtake Usyk for the number 2 spot.
Usyk will take back over with a win over a top 7/8 HW

 

Inoue has just as good a resume, except he doesn't have one on they level of Rigondeaux. BUT. Rigondeaux is in his 70s and he did go up 2 weight classes.

Inoue literally knocked out 3 world class opponents in a new weight class in under 5 total rounds. All 3 had never been knocked out before and one was an undefeated IBF champion. That is a near impossible feat.

Inoue has also knocked out opponents with every single punch: right hook, left hook, body shot, coming forward, and even a checkbook floating backwards.

If I had to pick, I'd rather watch Inoue's next fight than Lomachenko's.

Inoue is my P4P King.

 

Inoue has beaten a bunch of C+ level guys. GRJ, Walters, Rigo, Linares are far better than any guys Inoue has beaten.

Donaire will be his first real test.

 

It's not a debate at all, everyone knows Lomachenko is number 1. Inoue is not even in the running atm, Usyk and Alvarez are 2 and 3.

Inoue is in the lower weights were you can just go and eat a mcdonalds once and you can move up a division, it's a measly 3 or 4 lbs every weight class, so being a mutli weight world champ has less meaning.

Plus Inoues resume is nowhere near Lomachenkos.

 

I do not know. Crawford wasn't beaten by no 12-loss swarmer like Salido (nor did he have 400 fights to prepare for his first title), he's the only true undisputed champion between the two, has as many divisional titles, fought as many reigning or former champs and while Loma, great fighter very much relying on athleticism (fast hands, fast feet, great output, great stamina), Crawford is a more high IQ predator with more meaningful punches, better timing (which ages better than speed) and fights comfortable on the front and back foot, southpaw and orthodox.

I think Inoue is not quite there and at least a Noni statement would help, but better yet, Estrada, Nery or Rigo at deaux's true weight-class. Usyk has cleaned out his division in comparison, one though and not that many great names on his resume. And Nelo's great resume is full of debate. It's still a Crawford and Loma race and I put my money on the bl... American horse.

 

The difference between FW and SFW is 4lbs and the difference between SFW and LW is 5lbs. That's litterally 1lbs over 3 or 4.

Also Inuoe has moved up a total of 10lbs in the total of his career to Loma's 9. That means very little without résumé, hence why Crawford isn't in the runnings.
Inuoe has a good résumé, and has dominated everyone he's fought

 

I think he's in the running for - 'the most exciting fighter to watch in the world right now.'

but he's 4-6 p4p imo he has to do a bit more to be up there with Loma and Usyk.

 

A boxer's true P4P value manifests itself when he moves up in weight. Loma is beating the best guys 2 classes above his natural weight class. He's being dwarfed at lightweight. Although Inoe moved up in weight, he's not any smaller than guys he's fighting. Loma beating Linares and Campbell would correspond to Inoue beating the likes of LSC or Gary Russell Jr, even Valdez. Could he do that? Doubtful. But if he does, then he'll have a solid case as being the best fighter P4P. Right now, it's not even close.
