This a cert to be on Sly Bucks Office if Eh day involved.

The good news is that it does not make any difference to the wallet or viewing experience for the more informed boxthing fans whether on ITV Box Office, Sky Sports Box Office, BT Sports Box Ofiice or Fat Mick's you are a tube TV channel.

Three cheers for the advances in technology.

I watched the first fight live and it was a cracking fight - only found out it was actually PPV the next day.

Sky will find a way to put it on PPV, no doubt about it. Very few boxing fans will buy it, but I reckon several hundred thousand youtube addicts will absolutely buy it and that's cash nobody involved will allow slip.

It'll be bigger than the first fight which was huge. It's crazy but this is the world we now live in.

Both guys looked in great shape in the first fight for novices. I reckon both were juiced to the gills. It'll be interesting to see whether or not this "professional fight" is competently monitored for PED's. I suspect it won't.

It won’t be bigger than the first fight in the UK. In the states it will be massive. Most of these YouTube fans are Young boys and girls. Do you really see them staying up until 5am to watch these fight? I don’t. The worldwide numbers will be up but the UK numbers will be down.

When YouTubers are making it on PPV with legit fighters like Devin Haney and Steroid Saunders put on the undercard you know there's something very wrong with boxing today. Before you swallow Eddie's "it's good for boxing" hook line and sinker, ask yourself this question would the NFL let these two ignoramuses play a league game? Would MLB let them play in the major leagues? Could they get in the NBA? No. No. No. This is bad for the sport. It tells the public that boxing has no standards, that anyone with enough cash can pay their way to the PPV world stage. It's disrespectful to the genuine fighters out there working their ass off to land a broadcast fight and make some dough. I have no problem turning these two pros, but this is not the way to do it.

Anything that gets new fans interested in the sport, is good for the sport.

More fans, higher profile, more cash in the pot.

Both these dudes come with a huge YouTube following, many of those followers will start to take an interest in boxing as a result.

Not convinced this is lower than Foreman "beating up" five guys.

Funny thing is that the first time I heard about Logan Paul was only shortly before the Japanese forest debacle, and the first time I heard about KSI was when he was due to fight that same Logan Paul on YT PPV.
It's a circus event of course, and it seems like many people are in to that these days, but I really hoped it would stay on YT and thus far away from actual boxing events. I believed the Freddy Flintoff circus show main event on a real boxing card was rock bottom, but now I fear we're a long way from that even with this new low point.
Maybe the clear difference in class, which would be hard to miss even if you're the most casual of casuals out there will prevent this from making fun out of the sport again.
Yes it is worse. That was a circus event, but with actual boxers. And not headlining a PPV with actual world class boxers as undercard/co-main.

    Your argument doesn't make sense.

Could they get in the NBA? No.

Could they play for some local small town team, yeah they might get a run out.

They aren't fighting for a world title, they aren't fighting for a high ranking.

It's a sideshow, am I interested in it? No. But I don't think it's a bad thing at all, it's a lot of young eyes on the sport, if they were smart they would stack the undercards with entertaining, explosive prospects who these casuals will think wow I want to see him again.

Boxing fans have this toxic, old boys club, snobbish attitude. Running down casuals because they don't spend all day on forums or watch the flyweight division.
