Think he really needs some big fights now. He's been around for ages but other than two defeats - good displays against top opponents He's not really done much. He has a bit of a profile for the minute - he needs to get back in there quickly with someone decent and get the win. Linares would be fine, Gamboa? Could be interesting on a good run but at 37 maybe a few question marks.

Domestically a Crolla fight would sell that could be a nice fight for a support bout if he can't get a big name.

Think he waits out Loma vacating and then fights for vacant title again.

As said above though I’d love to see him back in with Linares. Judging on their respective last performances I think Luke could gain redemption.

I think Campbell is a highly skilled fighter, but at this stage & 32 in next few weeks...you have to say that apart from running Linares close, it’s been very underwhelming so far. Mendy was very tough but one dimensional. Perez was past it & had already been dealt with by Crolla. He’s dealt with a few high profile domestic challenges but apart from that, he’s not really fulfilled the potential.

Even if Loma dropped all the belts, there’s still tons of talent about with Commey, Lopez, Haney, Davis will eventually step up too.

It’s been a lot of treading water and he’s running out of time. The likelihood now is that it will be another 6 months plus before he’s out again. Harsh post I admit.

I agree, he will always come up short against the top guys. Sky were doing their best sales pitch last week 'If Campbell was in with anybody other than Loma he would be a champion'
He wouldn't, Campbell did better than expected but that's because he used his physical advantages very well, he won't have that against most other lightweights

As said he is 32 so needs to be back in the big fights quick, if that makes a quick fight on the undercard somewhere against Burns or Selby or something whatever but he needs to be fighting the top guys after that
