    When they are 40.
Anybody younger, even Bosnian cab drivers like Pajkic could put him down and even out.
    Wilder was close.

You`re right about the slimmer Ali having a weaker chin I was just pointing out that his chin became rock solid by the 70`s, Holmes was in more trouble when floored by Shavers in that fight than when Tyson first dropped him with a powerful right, the difference was Tyson finished Holmes after he got up because he was a better finisher with faster hands and well drilled combo`s, Tyson was far better than Shaves but had less one punch power, Tyson rarely knocked a fighter out with one punch, he usually finished them off with a flurry of shots or knocked them down a couple of times fitst, but the usually got up from the first knockdown, specifically in Mike`s world title fights, I feel Shavers would have knocked out Paterson of the 60`s though, and Frazier was being lined up to fight Ali in the 60`s when Ali got banned, he beat Ellis for the title in 1970, he was already a fantastic fighter by then.

Fury is an amazing fighter with great powers of recovery, fighters in the 60`s would have feinted at the sight of a 6'8-6'9 man moving around the ring like that, he even pushed Wilder onto the backfoot after that knockdown, how many other fighters did Wilder knock cold with the same punches?

Luis Ortiz could have been a champion back then when he was near his prime

furry is evolved for a maximum length 10-12 rounders with less emphasis on action of today's bouts, he is not able to cope with the top guys who evolved for more active, 15 round fights of the 60s.

evolution is not improvement, its adaptation. A lot of people make that mistake.

The reason why fighters throw less now because they get countered well, Fury changed his style, he used to be an action packed brawler.

    Wilder would.

Liston is just a primitive, poor man's Luis Ortiz, or not even a poor mans version, a homeless mans version, if we are being honest and look what Wilder did to him.

ah no, Fury used to throw more because he was younger and facing bums he could easily kill.

Wilder struggled badly with Ortiz and was in bad trouble, Liston`s jab was longer than Wilder`s and longer than Wilder`s also, it was also more powerful than Ortiz`s jab, plus he posted his jab after throwing which would stop Wilder`s counter jabs that he landed at times v Fury.

No he got knocked down a couple of times and realised he would get nowhere fighting like that, Fury was at his physical peak v Wlad.

Tyson Fury got dropped hard by a small, and feather fisted Steve Cunningham.
Although USS is a good fighter, he is not better than Frasier. Imagine Smoking Joe landing same leaping LH on Tyson's head.
Speed is a huge factor here too....those guys from 70s would be alot faster, and the refs back then don't give a **** about wiping your gloves either, as soon as you are up your opponent pounces on you in split seconds.

Fury is amazingly quick for his size and is far harder to hit now since that bout, that is a long way for Frazier to punch up and get past a 85 inch reach.

He is still doing that but if he beats Wildder I`ll forgive him.
