Aldea'c corner folk pulling out very bloody, tamponesque-looking q-tips from his nose after shoving them up damn near to his sinus cavity. Blech.

    Round 3

Umurzaqov is jabbing once, slapping a right hook, and stepping wide to his right before Aldea can narrow the gap. Aldea manages to surprise him with a few up-jabs performing a slalom jump off his lead hip or shurikened out from his chest, but mostly he's left too far outside to ever touch him. Umurzaqov doing just enough to keep himself on the scoreboard, otherwise spoiling.

    10-9 Umurzaqov, closer

    30-26 Umurzaqov

    Round 4

Umurzaqov is tossing a 1-2 past Aldea's jab, which is thrown with a stretching motion from a deep lean-aside. Umurzaqov is manhandling Aldea up close, ragdolling him a bit with no interference from the ref. Umurzaqov can't lay the 1-2 cleanly on Aldea, but is keeping him shut down offensively with it, finishing up the combo with his arms draped over Aldea's backside each time, smothering him. Umurzaqov blocks a right hook and uses his right forearm held vertically to push into Aldea, bracing against him while held in place to circle to his right. They flurry together and Umurzaqov pinches Aldea's skull between his wrists, pushing down on the back of the head. Aldea troweling in a few short light body shots where he can with his free hand. Really not a pretty fight, especially this round.

    10-9 Umurzaqov

    40-35 Umurzaqov

Starting to wonder if maybe I got screwed over with this, instead of Krasnoshein vs. Kalitskiy, being the main event...

I’ve barely been focusing on this card. RCC picked the wrong day to have one of their duller cards competing with the UFC lol. Piternov-Voytsekhovsky was probably the best fight of the night

    Round 5

Umurzaqov is lobbing right jabs at the head and then flailing in with the left casually after missing when Aldea ducks to his side, landing obliquely across the nape. Really low sense of urgency from Umurzaqov, acting like he's participating in a light spar. Aldea staying outside and inactive, seemingly frustrated by Umurzaqov's superior reach and dissuaded from infighting by the Russian's octopus-like clinging tactics. Virtually no action for long stretches as they stand off and pose. Aldea surges in suddenly with a left hand lead from the rear hip & right hook on the jaw and Umurzaqov is caught off guard. Aldea fails to move in and capitalize, to expose just how buzzed Umurzaqov may have been. Aldea pops a jab into Umurzaqov's nose. Umurzaqov now moves in to exchange shots with him and they both deflect off each other's arms.

    10-9 Aldea

    49-45 Umurzaqov

Fatboy acquitted himself well? Still a useful gatekeeper at 35yo?

For a round, definitely. He even scored a knockdown. But he gassed badly after that and barely made it to the final bell. Wouldn’t say he’s a useful gatekeeper necessarily, but he’d be a decent opponent for a debutant or novice pro who has some amateur experience like I’m assuming Voytsekhovsky does

    Round 6

Umurzaqov is getting clipped by right hooks now as he rows the long right jab out laboriously, as though it were an actual oar on an actual boat. Umurzaqov just leaves such pregnant pauses between each punch, hard to call anything he throws a "combo", the left is just left trailing miles behind the jab as he moves his slow feet inline. Aldea is able to rise up from a crouch and smack him with the right hook or drill him with the left hand lead flush enough times to bag him the frame, but is spending a lot of time ducked outside just waiting, and Umurzaqov is also grazing him with the 1-2 now and then.

10-9 Aldea, another one he probably just barely nicked on quality, although he isn't putting in a ton of work.

    58-55 Umurzaqov
