Conor beating Diaz didn`t mean much and losing to him in the first fight hurts his legacy, in the rematch Diaz showed a weakness in Conor`s game tat Floyd exploited in their boxing match, Conor admitted he doesn`t know how to deal with a high guard, he didn`yt look good in the Diaz rematch at all and he has serious stamina problems.

    Ok.

But... how does beating Nate not mean much, when nate has fought on even terms with the guy who smoked Dustin?

The very fact McGregor beat Nate at a weight not suited for him, with a size advantage and stylistic advantage, gives the win meaning.

And regardless.... I see this as a pointless discussion. Throw the Diaz win out then... he's still not a contrived star.

I agree but his career has just been put in the shade by Khabib`s performance against a black belt in BJJ, he has proven himself to be one of the greatest MMA fighters of all-time, Conor was great but Khabib is greater and if he beats Ferguson his legacy will go to even greater heights.

Yeh I’m maybe unfair on him as a MMA fighter, the thing Floyd was always something separate anyway but that was certainly a farce.
His career of late has stalled though and whilst Dana White still believes him, public opinion of him may have wavered. He used to ask folk to beg him for fights and now he’s the one asking for fights.

Yeah I don’t understand that as him beating Diaz in one of the best fights of the year did show his class as paced himself and used leg kicks.Comical how he kept dropping Nate every time he touched him.
His legacy is already secured albeit he’s lost some of his swagger.
