Exactly, sometimes the eye test trumps the level of competition. Many, many examples of this. But, that's why they fight the fights. And I sure am looking forward to this one.

Spence has physical dimensions and power to trouble Brook.
Just re-watched the Aligeri fight, he's cagey/dirty on the inside, good jab and has a sense of distance. I'm picking him by late stoppage over Brook.

Speaking of eye tests. I'm surprised Brook ever managed to pass one again after GGG good boy'd that eye of his. Imagine one of your eyes getting good boy'd by a full force GGG right or left hand Karaganda bomb, I bet it's akin to Spence's melon-sized noggin crashing into it like a crazed billy goat, which come to think of it is exactly what happened to Brook's non good boy'd eye when he fought Errol lol

That's interesting because i've liked pacquiao's chances vs spence. The main thing was activity though, when the second guy picked it up he kept spence shelled up and he couldnt get inside. Pacquiao isnt very active anymore but he can keep errol honest with his power. And feints.

I still think Spence will rule welterweight for as long as he chooses to stay there.

I think people pumping up a Pac fight in hopes that Pac does well, as Ive started to see quite a bit of, are in for a rude awakening. Spence is going to beat Pac up.

Couldn't agree more. As a Pacquiao fan I would love to see him beat Spence. The magnitude of a win over Spence at 41 years old would be up there with one of the greatest wins ever for a guy of his age, It would also send Pacquiao's already phenomenal resume to a level unmatched by any other fighter of his era. Unfortunately for Manny, at this stage, Spence would just simply overwhelm him and claim the victory via TKO.

Pac isnt gonna fight Spence. Mikey maybe.

This thread kind of fell flat in hindsight.

As if Spence hasn't progressed from being a 21 year old amateur. He may, or may not have problems with boxers. He'd have to fight Crawford, or Ennis for us to find out.

They did to him what Brook did for a bit, but Brook does not like to work. Against Porter and Spence he didn’t reach 500 punches thrown. When you counter Spence well he loses his jab and tries to press forward with the highguard. A prime Pacquiao likely decimates him.

Just checked and Brook threw 1 more punch vs Spence than he did vs Porter, supposedly. 442 to 441 total punches.

I have a feeling Crawford beats him if they ever fight but no doubt I don’t see any other welterweight beating Spence.

I’d be worried for Mannys health in that fight.
