I'm all for the guys being classy and respectful, Joshua and Klitschko proved that you don't need trash talk in the build up to a good fight BUT the gloves are off scenes above will definitely cure insomnia.

I think you’re severely overestimating the general public

Hahaha he's so uncomfortable because he knows he hasn't got any idea what he's talking about.

Amazed that his handlers let him answer a question that's this complex and nuanced. Look at his awkward hand gestures 5 seconds in, it's almost like David Brent!

**** the BBC though, asking these types of loaded questions to a boxer who left school with almost no qualifications. The media need to stop looking at athletes and celebrities to push political agendas.

    Could not disagree more here.

Saudi are using AJ as a tool to push their agenda and paying him millions to do it.

Given we hear about AJ the businessmen, even from a point of naivety he would know this.

He is willing to take millions to advertise and market a truly abhorrent nation then he cannot complain at taking any criticism or tough questions.

AJ is fake and couldn't give a stuff about anything other than his bank balance. Which is completely fine, but to act like a saint and pretend otherwise is very annoying.

I'm sick to death of celebrities lecturing and virtue signalling. So yeah please stop making ones who don't do it, do it.

As for the BBC, Jimmy Saville cover uppers, old people tv license money bullying scumbags.

Don't buy their pc crap one bit.

The innocent death toll in the middle east as a result of the US/UK illegal oil war of terror is orders of magnitude higher than that of the Saudi government I GUARANTEE you.

A "conservative" government approved number of 244,000 innocent civilians murdered by the west. And you know if that's the number they allow then the true number is far, far higher

Amnesty international and the selective outrage mob don't give a **** when it's us carpet bombing villages of farmers and women and kids.

So, so easy to spot a knuckle dragger who just wants a free stab at Muslims under the fake guise of "concern" for their human rights. Lol. Just lol.

Shove your selective outrage and put down the daily mail, I'm sick of hearing this dross, if you are that upset about loss of innocent life in the middle east go wave a placard outside 10 downing because we are the main ****ing cause of it.

Many many people are outraged by how our governments conduct themselves domestically and throughout the world. We protest, we use social media, radio phone ins and eventually we get the opportunity to vote. We are allowed to express our disgust in how medieval that country is. Of course there is a significant percentage who turn a blind eye to it or don’t even bother to educate themselves on the atrocities our own western governments have committed over god knows how many centuries...they’re the ones that you should be getting wound up with.

Just to add, my disgust has got absolutely nothing to do with race or religion.

Yep. Agreed. I've said this before when the AJ fight was first announced. If human life is that sacred to everyone on here then we should all be disassociating ourselves with boxing events held in the US and the UK right? Seeing as they both have combined and caused a lot of bloodshed around the world.

I get it though. It's far easier to label Saudi as as backwards regime than label ourselves as one, as we have a more liberal regime in control of us over here whereas Saudi is kind of the opposite but don't let that cloud your head about the killers that come from our shores. They're just as bad but no one seems to be boycotting any of the events held in the UK..

If we want to get political about Saudi in regards to them holding a boxing event then we should be consistent about the UK too.

You are one of the rare ones Twentyman because the vast majority I see are CLEARLY not coming at it from an honourable position.

The vast majority of citizens of Nazi Germany thought they were on the "good" side

It's how it is, propaganda, state controlled media, patriotism, bred in xenophobia.

It's not easy to see what is actually going on, and even if you do it's not easy to speak out on it as the brainwashed masses don't like hearing the truth

I'm against shitty treatment of anyone, and there is a lot of that happening in Saudi, but the educated, free thinkers amongst us know we are no better.

I've said it before the only difference is our leaders smile to your face and stab you in the back, while in places like saudi they just dispense with the pleasantries.
