I prefer watching Loma's skill set over Pac's. Loma is one of my favorite fighters to watch currently. I think at this stage, Loma is far higher in a P4P ranking sense. Historically, Loma doesn't touch Pac in a P4P sense obviously.
Loma would have to fight Manny at a higher weight than Cambell was, and Manny has welter power, Linares got destroyed when he moved above 135.
Both of them are exciting to watch. It depends on your taste and preference. If you like to see courage, gallantry, explosive quick power hitting style, you'll love Pacquiao. If you like high level boxing technique, tactics, deceptions and tricks as one combined artwork, you'll love Loma.

Pac. Pac in his prime is one of the most entertaining boxers ever. He's not quite the same now but, for example, the Thurman fight was pretty good.
Far higher? Pac shut out Vargas. Then he won at least 8 or 9 rounds against Horn. Then he shut out and KO'd Matthysse. Then he shut out Adrien Broner and beat the crap out of Thurman.
Pacquaio. He's explosive, hot blooded violence with science added on top. As much as I like Loma, he'll never have that same aura.
Are you sure it's not that he is afraid he may not beat an old man? It is not normal in Asia to run away from a fight like Loma did. Fact is, Loma needs 8 Division Championship to even EVEN out with the Pacman. I doubt he can get 8 Div champ even when he gets older than Pac....
